Feeling a bit Hulkish? No need to go smashing about, Grey Matter Art has got you covered because they have two absolutely Incredible Hulk prints for you this week! First up, GMA are continuing our tribute to the great Jack Kirby, with the timeless cover art from 1962's The Incredible Hulk #1! This issue features the first appearance and origin of the big green guy, who for the first issue, was actually grey! Writer and co-creator, Stan Lee goes on to say that he was inspired by the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as well as Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. The Hulk has gone on to become a huge character favorite and one of ours for sure! And what's a better way to pay tribute to this iconic cover than to feature tribute art by one of the finest artists working in comics today,
Alex Ross. Alex paid homage to this cover art by creating The Immortal Hulk #20 (Variant), from the acclaimed ongoing comic series written by Al Ewing. We couldn’t think of a better companion piece to hang side-by-side with original cover art of Jack Kirby’s Hulk! Both prints are fine art archival Giclees, printed on acid-free paper with archival inks!
