Princess Bride Wine From Alamo Drafthouse on Valentines Day

No comments:

The latest venture from Alamo Drafthouse, the popular quirky dine-and-watch movie theaters based in Austin, makes me happy on a number of levels. It's wine (hurrah!), it's cleverly packaged (nice!) and it's based on one of my all time favorite movies, The Princess Bride.

Alamo Drafthouse is delighted to announce the launch of a signature wine inspired by THE PRINCESS BRIDE in honor of the 25th anniversary of the film. The name of this signature wine program, "The Bottle Of Wits," is derived from the iconic "battle of wits" scene when Westley first rescues Princess Buttercup from Vizzini and his henchmen. The "Bottle Of Wits" wine line will include two varietals: "Inconceivable Cab" and "As You Wish White". The "Bottle Of Wits" will be available for purchase at all Alamo Drafthouse locations starting on Tuesday, February 14th and will be available for purchase online soon.
It will also be sold online HERE

Alamo will not be doing any mail order or web sales on this one. So the only way to get it is to stop by in Austin and pick it up.

Both versions are 36 x 24

The picture above is the one printed on metal. Only 20 were made and they are $200. Regular version is an edition of 120 and is $40
