James White RoboCop Poster Release

James White  is paying tribute to the greatest cyborg delivered by the 80s, RoboCop in Skuzzles latest release. Whether it was spending hours perfecting the art of shooting bad guys at a 45 degree angle on NES or running around in a full hockey gear and carrying a Nerf gun, RoboCop helped define our childhoods. It was even the inspiration for Skuzzles new logo, thanks to Matthew Skiff.

Skuzzles were super happy to work with James White once again as they knew he could work his magic with his iconic style, similar to his artwork on Far Cry: Blood Dragon. A style that transports us right back into the 80s. Buck Rogers in the 25th Century James White Poster Release

Grey Matter Art has teamed up with artist James White for part two of their Buck Rogers series. James's poster will go on sale Tuesday, August 19th at 1PM EDT. in the Grey Matter Art Shop. 

Grey Matter Art are also doing a deal for this one too. If you purchase a James white poster, you can get a regular edition Dave Perillo Buck Rogers poster together for $60.00 or a variant for $65.00

James talks about the poster and his Buck Rogers lunchbox when he was a kid:

"When I was a little kid, I remember my dad telling me about Buck Rogers since the TV show had aired in the mid to late 70s. Even though I have faint memories of the show, my most vivid memory was the first lunchbox my parents bought me when I started school, with an action-packed depiction of Buck, Tweeky and Deering. I loved that lunchbox and carried it to school every day for years. So when I was given the option of developing a poster for a generation of Buck Rogers, the decision was clear."

James White The Console Series Prints Release Details

After four consecutive sold out series’ comes the next installment of fun prints from James White of Signalnoise. James is pretty stoked to announce the release of his most requested illustrations to date… the Console Series.

This collection includes 4 new colourful prints commemorating some wonderful video game and computing platforms of the past, all of which his family owned at some point. For the next series I already request Intellivision be included. The Console Series has an edition of 100 and are measured at 5″ x 5″.

This series is printed on Museo Textured Rag 285 gsm by the fine people at Static Medium, Los Angeles. All prints are lovingly hand-signed, numbered, packed and shipped by James White out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Mark your calendars!  The Console Series will be available on Thursday, January 30th at 1pm EST in The Signalnoise Store. Sets are $35 and individual prints are $10 each.

War Games Movie Poster By James White Release Details

Skuzzles are really excited to be announcing their latest addition to the Skuzzles poster family. They reached out to another of their fellow axe-wielding, plaid covered, maple syrup chugging Canadians, James White of Signal Noise, to create an officially licensed limited edition screen print for the 1983 cult classic War Games. This Academy Award nominated hit starring Matthew Broderick, was one of the first movies to expose "hacker culture" on the big screen and featured the use of the IMSAI 8080 microcomputer and a 212A (Cermetek) modem. It was no surprise that James’ artwork completely nailed the feel of the movie combining the digital tech, military and character aspects of the film. When James presented Skuzzles the idea of his variant to compliment his incredible stylish regular they were completely on board. The end result of the variant gives the perception you are looking at a monochrome CRT computer monitor aka “Green Screen”.

Here's a little bit from James White regarding his War Games poster:

"I've been a fan of WAR GAMES since I was a little kid, so I was psyched when Skuzzles approached me to do an official poster for the film. Pretty honoured, especially since this movie is pre-Bueller Broderick. That's a big deal in my household. I immediately started sketching up some ideas and was heavily focused on old Atari box art for inspiration. I didn't transfer that actual Atari aesthetic, but more the layouts and compositions served as a great starting point. After a few rounds of sketching, the poster was nailed down. Super fun."
