Smithe x PangeaSeed May Print Release Tales from the Deep

PangeaSeed and special guest artist Smithe are pleased to announce the fifth official print release of their 2015 print suite "Tales from the Deep: Stories, Myths & Monsters" - a fine art print suite to help save our seas.

Artist statement:
"I decided to utilize Poseidon to draw attention to the destructive manner we are treating our oceans. In this scene, Neptune is bereft of his horses, his inseparable companions, that had suffered from an illness he could not control. Humanity's excessive waste and overconsumption of non-biodegradable plastics had caused the disease. Neptune as seen in this image is prepared for battle and seeks to teach a lesson to the beings that killed his horses and the thousands of other creatures that call the ocean home. We are guilty."

Smithe Mago Domino Print

Pretty excited to see Smithe release a print with 1xRUN this week. He has done some killer Queens of the Stone Age posters in recent years.

"This piece is different from my previous works. On my many of my last pieces I showed more dream-like or surrealistic stuff. This is more like an attempt to tell a story or moment I lived. I was inspired to create this piece by the last trip we did with the guys of Pangeaseed. I tried to incorporate all the mysticism and power of this big fish called Whale Shark. I like the idea of floating dots. Like the pattern in his skin. It's like putting some magical signals on the way." - Smithe
