AngryBlue Metallica Prague Poster Release

AngryBlue designed the poster for the Metallic show in Prague Czech Republic tonight.

He reflects on how far he has come.

This is the second Metallica poster I've designed in less than a year! It's really sweet to be able to do these types of projects that I couldn't have imagined being within reach when I was a teenager learning to play guitar. Now that I've been designing rock posters and merchandise for the people that influenced me, it's just bonkers.

The ossuary in the Czech Republic is one of those destinations on my bucket list. I have to walking around in that place. So making a print for a place nearby had to be the ultimate Creeping Death.

This flowery friend is 18x24, 6 colors and limited to a signed/numbered run of 75 for the regular run and 25 for the foil prints.

Hustle and The Hive Prints by Angryblue

 Yeah I forgot to post these a few days ago.

 The Hive is an 18x24, 3 colored screen print (2 teastain/worn colors and then a reddish blackline on top) & limited to a signed/numbered run of 150.

Hustle is the first print of one of the characters introduced in his Pixies print. We'll just have to see what adventures come from their various scheming personalities.

Instead of being stuffed full of sugar, spice and things that are nice, these guys are chock full of switchblades, pills & mischief.Hustle is 12x12, 2 colors (metallic red/plum black) & a run of 150. Signed/Numbered.

Tonight's Pearl Jam Poster from Chile by Angryblue ON SALE NOW

Pearl Jam is winding down their South America tour and are in Santiago Chile tonight. One of the new artist to Pearl Jam posters and a favorite of mine Angryblue aka Justin Kamerer did the poster and it rocks. Thanks to Victor for the picture, I really do love my readers they are the best.

I wanted to do something that played into the region where the show is, so I did a play off of 2 Chilote myths. Most of the myths i was able to dig up with complete DOOMBRINGERS and I liked the idea of using them, but doing a different take on their origins. The Conieuma (a double flower that screams as a child on new moon) and Basilisco Chilote. I liked the idea of the normally murderous Basilisk being protective.

Ink Bleeds 3 -- 2011 Art Show in Cincinnati

The AIGA Cincinnati is proud to host INK BLEEDS 3, the biennial gallery show that features poster art from the most audacious and provocative artists throughout the region. INK BLEEDS 3 will be held at the Art Academy of Cincinnati on Friday, November 18, 2011 sponsored by Intrinzic and AIGA Cincinnati, the professional association for design.

It’s a night immersed in art, music, culture, and community. The show features 11 artists nationally renowned for their work in design, illustration, and print making, and each artist will create three custom IB3 posters to be raffled off that night. Entrance is free, but for a $10 donation that benefits AIGA Cincinnati, guests receive an event poster print signed by artists Rob Warnick and Keith Neltner, a raffle ticket, and two beer tickets. This year’s event poster is a collaboration and true infusion of the Rob Warnick’s whimsy and the gritty earthiness of Keith Neltner.

Angry Blue Rat Poison art print on sale

Rat Poison is a new print Angry Blue did last week. The background is made up of prohibition-era alcohol tax stamps and alcohol prescriptions with federal markings on them issued by doctors. The split fountain/gradient varies throughout the run as he had to adjust the spread of the ink the whole run.

Angry Blue has a couple of sweet new Letterpress prints.

Paradise Lost was a project Justin recently drew for a dvd cover and some album art. The idea was to redo a secondary image from a band's classic album. Instead of just redrawing a photo that someone else took, he bought a bunch of flowers and did a few sets of arrangements with stuff he had around the house. His recent Torche poster came from the same set of photos.

The Fleur De Lis print was done for the cover of a local weekly magazine. There are no skulls or dead birds in this one, but at least there's a vicious looking ladybug in there.

Angry Blue's new studio is suiting him just fine as he keeps cranking more and more great posters.

Nerd Destroyer is 18x24, 4 colors and a run of 100. There's a huge flood of metallic silver.Sparkles! This graphic is also being used for shirts for DefCon19. Assimilate&Destroy!

Torche is 15.5x24, 3 colors and a run of 150. the green is a split fountain that is a little random.

These Decemberists posters are 12x23.5, 4 colors and a run of 105. Justin only has 15 of these available. Since they're facing opposite of each-other like bookends, he'd offer them as sets for $45 and individually for $25

Sleep is Wrong A collection of works by Angryblue Gallery show in Denver

Sleep is Wrong: A solo exhibition by Kentucky based artist Angryblue (Justin Kamerer). This will be stuffed with rock posters and art prints. He might bring some original ink and pencil drawings with him as well.
The opening is on July 2nd at Marion Street Tattoo-Gallery in Denver, CO.

Under the 'Angryblue' moniker, Justin Kamerer is an illustrator that designs album art, gigposters, websites, logos, art prints, movie posters, ta...cos, skateboards, t-shirts, sandwiches and just about any other thing he can get his hands on. He is a self-described art whore with an unhealthy fascination for birds, teeth & typography. Sadly, he probably draws more skulls in a week than you have buried under your house.

Four new Prints by Angry Blue on sale

Angry Blue just keeps cranking out great prints since moving to the new studio.

Hot on the heels of the quickly sold-out WMC poster, Weapons of Mass Creation: Cooking is a 2-color signed/numbered screen print limited to a run of 150. Appx 13x24".
