AJ Masthay Surrender Blotter Art Print Release

Shakedown Gallery will be releasing a very limited number of AJ Masthay's "Surrender" Blotter Art prints on Jerry Garcia's Birthday, August 1st, 2020, at 9am PDT.

Print measures 7.5 inches by 7.5 inches perforated into 900 quarter inch squares.
Signed, numbered, edition of 300 pieces.
Bulk of the edition was previously released by Bottleneck Gallery.

They will also be releasing new signed, numbered editions by Emek, Stanley Mouse, Herb Greene, Richard Biffle and many others.

Emek Masthay Lovato Bicycle Day Blotter Print Releases

Shakedown Gallery has another fine offering for Bicycle Day this year,

Need some weird art to tide you over while you shelter in place?

Emek plundered deep into the neuroses of a nation and dredged up the Plague Blotter. Titled, “Los Dose Plague Bros: The Quarantweakers, Lickit and Covidiot,” you're going to want to be sure to wash your hands before and after handling this one. And for all that is holy in the world, DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR TONGUE!

While the rest of the designs on the site will be released at 9 AM Pacific on 4/19, the Plague Blotter print set will be released on Bicycle Day at 10 AM Pacific. Emek prints are limited to one print per color scheme per address until midnight. (Buyers can buy one each of red and purple. If prints are still available at 12:01 on 4/20, you are welcome to scoop up extras as gifts or for trades.)

AJ Masthay presents "Peaking," a beautiful interpretation of the classic Grateful Dead Skull and Roses motif. This print will drop with the others on the site at 9 AM Pacific and in an effort to give everyone a fair shot at walking away with a print, we also ask that no more than one print per household gets scooped up prior to midnight.

Shakedown Gallery Bicycle Day 2019 Print Release

It's no secret that Bicycle Day is the favorite holiday at Shakedown Gallery. April 19th is the day that they pull out all the stops and release as many great prints as they possibly can!

Emek, Pollock, Mouse, Biffle, DuBois, Johnathan Singer, Michael Divine, Sarah Farah, Mikio...The list is extensive.

While others, like the Marc Bodē signed Cheech Wizard print, just so happen to be the first Augmented Reality animated blotter, and, as such, are just too weird for words and have to be seen to be believed.

When two powerhouse Grateful Dead artists like painter Richard Biffle and Dead and Company visual sorcerer Johnathan Singer collaborate, the result is bound to amaze.

Each limited edition print is hand-signed by the artist.The prints are printed using vegetable based ink

Grateful Dead Mardi Gras Blotter Art Print

In the '90s when the Grateful Dead were routinely selling out stadiums, they held annual Mardi Gras festivities in Oakland and brought such New Orleans legends as the Neville Brothers on stage to entertain the revelers.

For one such occasion, the band commissioned artists Mikio Kennedy and William Giese to design a t-shirt and the resulting image was a stunning interpretation of the carnival-themed Grateful Dead song "Reuben and Cherise." In the 24 years since the design was released, it has appeared on shirts, stickers, prints and even a puzzle.

This year Shakedown Gallery is pleased to announce its release as a signed, numbered limited edition blotter art print, complete with Fleur De Lys and Lightning Bolts.
