The Mimi Fishman Foundation is auctioning off Jim Pollock's original Hampton art.
This original hand-drawn Jim Pollock marker rendering was created for Phish’s triumphant return to the stage March 6th, 7th & 8th, 2009 in Hampton, Virginia.
This authentic, one-of-a-kind color conception created on newsprint served as the final concert poster design. This design was produced as a three color, hand-carved, linoleum block, limited edition print of 750 posters which were sold at the three nights of comeback concerts. Hand-pressed on an antique Washington Printers Proofing press in Chicago, the edition was signed and numbered and sold out at the shows.
Jim Pollock has created over 25 hand-pressed limited edition concert posters for Phish in addition to several hundred other illustrations utilized in everything cartoons for the band’s official newsletter, the Doniac Schvice, to other posters, t-shirts, album covers, ticket designs and various related merchandise.
