Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well. This week we have four new prints going on sale. You can see the images on my site and actual photos on gigposters. All four go on sale this Thursday at 2PM CST. The Dead Weather is $40 and the two Ween prints and Costello are $30 apiece. Here's some info on each:
The Dead Weather print was done for the Austin City Limits festival last month. It's a continuation of the bone collage style I've been working with for Dead Weather. This is my favorite so far. The background textures are printed in a shiny black varnish with just a few drops of metallic silver mixed in. I expect these to go fast.
The Elvis Costello print is the third I've done for him. There's a subtle underprint that's not visible on the website showing hundreds of photos of Elvis. There is also an awesome variant numbered to 10 for this with metallic copper ink instead of the red.
The Ween Oregon print features a stylized mad hatter and is my favorite of this update. Some of you will recognize this style from my Modest Mouse '08, Reverend Horton Heat '05, Keane '04 and Yo La Tengo '04. There is also a variant for this one with metallic copper ink instead of the black outline. It really softens the image and makes for an interesting alternative to the original.
The Ween Arizona print is a follow up to the RI melting face print, it's what you'd probably see one hour later. I've been a fan of Wayne Coyne's early Flaming Lips prints for some time and you can see some of that influence here. Both of these Ween's sold out at the shows in minutes and Ween continues to be my best seller.
That's it for now but look for my Lost print to drop sometime soon on Damon Carlton and a Polar Bear along with a Pixies poster, an Office Space print for Alamo Drafthouse and a special Ween Halloween print. The Lost prints have been selling out really fast so I'd definitely grab one if you see it up for sale.
