Comic book artist Robert Wilson IV (Knuckleheads, Bitch Planet), was commissioned by the Texas Theatre in Dallas, TX to produce these 12×36 hand-printed silkscreen posters for a recent screening of the horror/sci-fi classic! Printed by Nakatomi print labs, the prints come in a green or purple colorway!

Robert Wilson is also back with a new FOIL edition of his sold-out “I’m Afraid, Dave” screenprint- this SUPER LIMITED edition of only 25 foil prints worldwide is a beauty to behold (And almost impossible to photograph!) This 6-color 18×24 hand-printed poster is in hand and ready to to ship immediately!

Depending on the angle, this foil stock will be a straight silver foil, or a blazing red/orange/purple! Beautiful stuff!

When you love music like we do, Spring Break is the best time of the year in Austin. That's when one of the largest, and most anticipated music festivals on the planet crashes head first into the Live Music Capital of the World. Which festival is that? Here's a hint in four letters: S,X,S,W. A host of travelers from around the globe swarm to our great city for ten resounding days of unrivaled entertainment. What better way to honor this melodious tradition than with a little noise of our own?

Deep Cuts: 12" Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes

We asked over 20 artists to choose a beloved music icon, cult hero or legend and let his/her creativity spill to paper. There were, however, three conditions:

One, the artwork must be a screen print; two, the artwork must be album cover size; and three, the artwork must cost $25.

Oh yeah, and four -- the artwork must kick ass, of course.

The opening reception will be Thursday, March 7th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through April 7th. In the classic Guzu style, we will have live music on opening night to shake the walls and rattle the art (details to come). Complimentary beverages will be provided by Heineken and Hops & Grain Craft Brewery.

We hope to see you at the gallery but if you can't make it out, each limited edition print will be available in our online store on Sunday, March 10th @ 3pm CST. Stay tuned for more info as the days get closer to show time!

THE MOUNTAIN GOATS and OF MONTREAL Posters by Robert Wilson IV

Robert Wilson IV again was asked to work closely with THE MOUNTAIN GOATS’ John Darnielle to create two new tour posters for their just wrapped ‘Nameless Dark’ tour. Both posters are 18×24 silkscreens, signed and numbered by Robert in editions of 500 each. Nakatomi and Robert will only have 25 of these for sale, as the other 475 sold out on tour! The posters sold on tour were not signed, fyi, and Nakatomi has all low numbers (under #50)!

Robert was commissioned by OF MONTREAL to create this poster for their Dallas show earlier this month! Poster is 18×24 and is signed and numbered in an edition of 65. Nakatomi will only have 15 available.

STARS poster and COSPLAY for the CAUSE by Robert Wilson IV

 New from artist Robert Wilson IV, comes two new hand-printed silkscreen posters!  Debuting last weekend at the Nakatomi booth at Fun Fun Fun Fest, the above pictured print for the band STARS is really a killer sight to see in person!  Commissioned by the Granada Theater for the STARS performance there last month, this 18×24 poster features a SMOOTH AS GLASS split-fountain, and is signed and numbered by Robert in an edition of 75- Nakatomi has only 25 for sale!

Cosplay for the Cause approached Nakatomi to help produce their fund-raiser incentive poster for Wizard World Austin last month, and they placed them with artist extraordinaire, Robert Wilson IV! Cosplay for the Cause helps raise money for SafePlace.org in Austin. All proceeds from this poster sale will go to Cosplay for the Cause, and they will in turn donate that to SafePlace! This 4-color hand-printed silkscreen measures 18×24 and is signed and numbered by artist Robert Wilson IV in an edition of 110- Nakatomi only has 25 for sale.

Robert Wilson The Mountain Goats Tour posters on sale NOW

Artist Robert Wilson worked closely with The Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle to come up with the imagery for this poster set to promote their recent West Coast tour! Darnielle is a big comic book fan, and much like The Mountain Goats’ songs, they wanted to tell a story with the prints!

Both prints are 18x24, and are hand-printed by Nakatomi. Featuring florescent pink ink, these prints are signed and numbered by the artist in an edition of 100! The prints SOLD OUT on tour for the band, and the 25 of each that Nakatomi has for sale are all that’s left!

“Viper in the Lilies” Print by Robert Wilson IV

“Viper in the Lilies” is the first screen print from artist Robert Wilson IV for Nakatomi! And it most definitely will not be the last.

Robert is a comic book artist and illustrator from OKC, now living in Texas. 

You can see his portfolio HERE.

Robert’s beautiful and playful line work really make this print a thing of beauty to see in person. The colors are subdued, but the viper waits, just under the lilies.
