Matt Leunig Eric Church Milwaukee Posters Release

Matt Leunig was recently asked to do a set of posters for country singer, Eric Church‘s weekend set of shows in Milwaukee, WI. It had been a couple years since Matt's last Church poster but he happily agreed and was stoked to see they were doing something different this tour by having a “triptych” set of 3 posters for each city stop.

According to Matt "This would be my 15th poster for the band and over the years they have amassed quite the catalog of designs making coming up with a new original concept difficult. Milwaukee is known for many things including their wildlife, but what sticks out the most is their history w/ beer. I took inspiration from the series of nature-based bar mirrors that “Old Milwaukee” beer had released years ago and wanted to try give them an edgy spin."

Matt will have 35 Artist copies of each print he will make available as well as 15 rare “Silver mirror foil” variants for each. To allow folks to try and purchase them as a set he will split the inventory into 15 sets and 20 individual prints. For the foils,.. he will have 7 sets and 8 individual prints

David Welker Lucky Numbers & Lens Fish Prints Release

As we head into Spring David Welker is excited to release two new prints. The most ambitious print in the "Inedible Fish" series, "The Lens Fish" is a 10 color screen print, deftly handled by the excellent crew at The Half and Half in South Carolina. Signed and numbered on Cranes, Florescent White, in an edition of 150 prints.

Next up is another favorite of David's from his 2015 Hoerle-Guggenheim retrospective show. This one is titled "Lucky Numbers" and will be an embossed, hand deckled giclee in an edition of 100 prints.

Ravi Zupa Buraq & Mahakala Prints

Continuing Ravi Zupa's exploration of spiritual and mythical characters from cultures across the world, he is pleased to present his newest print in the Tattoo Gratitude series. This one features Mahalaka from Buddhism and Buraq from the Islamic tradition.

Ravi has created five unique variants of the Buraq and Mahakala print as part of this release. Each one is printed on hand-finished paper assembled from bits and pieces of prints from previous projects.

Todd Slater Avett Brothers Austin Poster

Todd Slater has released a new Avett Brothers print.

Here's a bit about the imagery:

One of my favorite Avett records is Emotionlism and I began this image by color sampling the art for that record. This might be the first instance of a color palette being the guiding factor in my art. The image itself is a weaving tessellation of Audubon and Escher style birds. I added a twisting psychedelic pattern as an under print to really ramp up the feeling of vertigo.
