LINK TO BUYThrough the graces of Free Press Houston and the glorious City of Houston, Jermaine was commissioned to create the official poster art for the Free Press Summerfest this year.
The arts and music festival in downtown Houston (this weekend, June 5th and 6th) is getting larger in scope and influence, and this year's line-up doesn't disappoint. Included performers are The Flaming Lips, Girl Talk, Slim Thug, Medeski-Martin-and-Wood, Lucero, Dead Prez, Mix Master Mike, and many others. Through special arrangement, Jermaine was brought down to Houston to exhibit his poster-art onsite at the Festival. There, the limited edition poster for the festival will be available in VERY limited numbers, along with various other Jermaine rarities, including some prints not available for a while now. Come out to the festival if you're in town and look for the Jermaine Rogers tent, which will be prominently located near the main stage. Jermaine will be there and looks forward to seeing everyone who drops by. Tubes will be available for all poster sales, and there will be arrangements for your purchases to be held for you until the end of the days show... for your convenience. BTW, you old school Jermaine-types in Houston: if you have any of the 'old stuff' (i.e.) any Jermaine prints produced between 1995-1997, Jermaine is looking to buy some of these. Let him know through email:Jermaine@JermaineRogers.com It may be one of those pieces missing from Jermaine's file catalog.
BTW, the Free Press Summerfest print, pictured above, measures approximately 30 x 20 inches and is screen printed in brilliant pastel colors. From a signed and numbered edition of only 100 prints... as well as a couple of very limited variants that will available in extremely limited quantity. (A limited number of these prints will be held back for an upcoming online sale, including the Facebook Foil Edition.)
