Nikita Kaun Hey You Art Print

Nikita Kaun has a new silkscreen print titled Hey You.

Nikita says :"Artwork was born from a wish to make something not so dark and gritty as my other stuff, plus i had a rough sketch of a shape with birds for a long time.

It is a limited edition of 30, measureing A2 (42 X 59.4 cm) 1 color on 200g paper

Nikita Kaun Ninth Labour: Belt of Hippolyta Print World Premiere Exclusive For The Labours of Hercules

On Tuesday I had the premiere for Dan Mumford's print for The Labours of Hercules Gallery Show by FAMP Art and today you get to see first and exclusively Russian artist Nikita Kaun's piece Ninth Labour: Belt of Hippolyta.

The print is Ninth Labour: Belt of Hippolyta and it is an 18 x 24 inch screen print with an edition of 45

The event will take place on December 12th at Bottleneck Gallery, located at 60 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11249, with doors opening at 7pm and at 9:30. The gallery is located in Williamsburg and is accessible by car, bus and subway.

The show is free to attend so be sure to bring some friends There will be free beer, wine and other beverages for those in attendance. As a bonus, Famp Art will also be giving out a free print out by artist Glyn Smyth to the first 20 people in line. Nikita Kaun Breaking Bad Tribute Print On Sale

Nikita Kaun (check out his work he has some good gigposters too) is a self taught illustrator, based out of Saint-Petersburg Russia. Nikita and Metro Orange have teamed up to produce two amazing movie themed works for the upcoming new York Comic Con at Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan New York.

The first print is a Breaking Bad Tribute featuring the Teddy Bear. The print is 16 x 24 with an edition of 300.

I asked Nikita about the design:

In my opinion Breaking Bad is already a classic, which has gived the world a lot of iconic images .So when Metro Orange Gallery gave me a choice of what to draw there was no doubt, that one of the artworks will be Breaking Bad.
I did not want just to draw characters of BB ,there are already too much artworks like this,the idea was to create an entirely image of the series.
No need to explain whose skull is depicted in the picture ,why beside him hanging a crown and why there are so many crystals.
Charred Teddy Bear shows the fate of supporting characters, and it's just a cool symbol.
