Creepshow Poster by Mike Sutfin Poster Mondo Release Details

6-color Blue Main Edition on French Berrylicious stock, 24"x36". Limited to 300.
6-color Green glow-in-the-dark Variant Edition on French spearmint stock, 24"x36". Limited to 150.
A little over 30 years ago, the dream team of George Romero, Tom Savini & Stephen King came together to create the film CREEPSHOW, and Mondo couldn't be more excited to present Mike Sutfin's take on the classic horror anthology. I think the story (The Crate) that creeped me out the most was the one with the thing in the box under the stairs that ate people, just wicked good. Stephen King even appeared in the movie as a crazy hick farmer. If you have never seen it you really should.

It may be a little early in the season for scares, but Mondo have such a fun and horror filled October ahead of us that they couldn't help getting started a little prematurely.

These posters will be available online at a random time on Tuesday, September 17th at Mondotees.com

Precious Cargo & Servants of Sauron Lord of the Rings Movie posters from Mondo

No comments:
Mondo have two great LORD OF THE RINGS posters being released tomorrow by two very talented guys. First up, they have "Precious Cargo" by one of Justin's favorite comic book artists, Paolo Rivera. If you are into comics and haven't seen Paolo's work, PLEASE fix that immediately. He is one of the best guys working today and really impressed Mondo with this poster especially as it is his first ever screenprinted offering. This poster is also 10 COLORS, so rest assured it will be awesome in person.

They also have "Servants of Sauron" by Mike Sutfin that features some of Justins favorite characters in the LOTR series.... The Nazgul aka Ringwraiths. Mike's posters are always immaculately illustrated and this is no exception. You can take a look at all of the detail on the Mondo blog HERE.

Mondo Tees has launched their Directors Series of Posters by working with Guillermo del Toro on Blade 2 and Hellboy 2 movie posters. The “Director’s Series” line that will commemorate the work of specific filmmakers, with Del Toro the first artist to be given the treatment.

Mike Sutfin created the Blade 2 poster and it goes on sale today at MondoTees.com at a random time. It is a 24"x36" screen print on silver metallic paper. Signed and Numbered by the artist. Printed by Monolith. Edition of 175. The variant is 24"x36" screen print. Signed and Numbered by the artist. Printed by Monolith. Edition of 75.

Ken Taylor did the Hellboy 2 poster and it will be on sale later this month.

The posters were designed with input from the man himself. “We’ve had a relationship with Guillermo for a while,” says Alamo Drafthouse CEO Tim League. “He lived here after he made Cronos and became a fixture, if you will, at the theater. Justin Ishmael, the head of Mondo, pitched him on the idea. Guillermo decided to not just approve the series but also serve as the point for approving the actual design. He’s said, ‘Yes, I like that,’ or ‘No, that doesn’t look too much like Ron Perlman,’ or whatever.”
