Jim Rugg Octobriana 1976 Comic Book & Print Kickstarter Project

Jim Rugg has new project. It's a blacklight comic book and series of blacklight screen prints.

The project is for a comic book called Octobriana 1976. It's set in the 70s because that's when Jim thinks of blacklight posters. The comic is being printed with fluorescent inks and will be a very unique piece of printed matter. It's about an underground Russian superhero (semi-based on a true story).

 If you know anyone that's into weird comics, unique printed matter, 70s counter culture, or superwomen this is what you want to check out and support.

Beloved Human People - I sincerely hope you are well; comfortably isolated and busy with whatever you choose to work on in these Weird Times.

I've been drawing, trying to stay on top of mail order, and attempting to help navigate online third grade class at the kitchen table. Getting out to exercise as far away from people as possible, and pushing seeds into dirt. I've been reading. I'm doing a pretty lousy job of checking in with friends and family during daylight hours, but I'm definitely thinking about them. I look forward to a time when we can see each other again.

I drew this, which has been available as a shirt (from thebirdmachine.threadless.com) for a while, but is finally in poster form, above. Two vibrational screens (one C-Y-M gradient, one Black).

These things cause coral bleaching, which can put extreme stress on coral growth and reproduction, and damage the coral structures.

These beautiful alien-looking creatures play such an important role in our ecosystems, and they can still be saved with our help. I presented them swaying in rhythm and coexisting together in harmony and balance, full of colorful detail and fragility. Oliver Barrett First Blood RAMBO Movie Poster Release

Mondo have a new poster in their partnership with their friends over at Nautilus Art Prints for one of the greatest action films ever: FIRST BLOOD by Oliver Barrett.

Based on the novel by David Morrell, the 1982 film introduced much of the world to one of Stallone's other iconic characters: John Rambo. They're particularly fond of how Oliver nailed that stone-cold gaze as Rambo wages a one-man war through the lush Pacific Northwest.

Regular edition is a hand numbered edition of 300 and the variant is an edition of 82. Both are 24 x 36 inch screenprints.
