Story:
After listening to the new record and reading some interviews two things stayed in my head. First the change from acoustic guitar to electric and it plays a huge role next to Feist’s voice. It seems like the rest of the instruments linger around the guitar play, the plant is a symbol for that part. The second big focus are the lyrics that are more dull since they seem to have their origin from a dark/depressive phase, symbolized by the grey clouds. But these dark thoughts pass by, they occur and they fade away, it’s a fluid process. Since the record is an reflection on the past, the head looks back in reminiscence.
