Galerie F just launched two Blues Brothers prints with a screening at The Logan Theatre. One by Aesthetic Apparatus and one by The Adam Hanson Co. — both editions of 50. Here's some info on both of those prints:
"The Blues Brothers, HIT IT!" by Aesthetic Apparatus
18"x24" - 3 Colors - Edition of 50 Signed and Numbered
$35
Available here
Michael Byzewski is the owner of Aesthetic Apparatus, a small graphic design, illustration and printmaking studio based in Minneapolis. For “The Blues Brothers” print he wanted to balance the grit and fun of the movie while giving a light nod to old blues concert posters.
"Mission from God" by The Adam Hanson Co.
18"x24" - 4 Colors w/ metallic gold ink and split flood - Edition of 50 Signed and Numbered
$35
Available here
The Adam Hanson Co. is a multidisciplinary studio based out of Chicago, IL creating posters, prints, apparel, and miscellaneous goods. When he’s not working, he’s probably watching a campy horror movie, enjoying a glass of Sailor Jerry, or participating in both simultaneously.
With the Blues Brothers Poster that he put together, Hanson really wanted to celebrate & almost evangelize the opening scene of Jake being released from prison and reunited with Elwood. Jake's release is shot beautifully and works as a great through-line for the entire film itself.
