Kii Arens Gun Control Art Print

Kii Arens has released a new print with a powerful message.
Sometimes you have to wonder if everyone is born with a functioning brain. Countless accounts of semi-automatic weapon attacks are making us numb in the United States. Australia fixed this same problem with only one attack…they just had the courage to make that right change. The greedy and stubborn nature of the NRA and the people who support it needs to be stopped. For the first time I feel a turning of the tides due to the brave students from Florida who have given the youth a voice. Their words make politicians and world leaders seem as though they are out of touch with the times and needs of America. Despite these strong words I remain optimistic that good will always win in the end… no matter the cost.
The print is 24" x 16" Fluorescent Lithograph
Signed and Numbered series of 100.
A portion of the proceeds will go to helping the many victims.

  1. Yes, everyone, heed the words of Kii Arens, who obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. Countless accounts of automatic weapon attacks? I would challenge him to name one. There's quite a significant difference between an automatic weapon and a semi-automatic weapon. I'm no gun enthusiast, but at least I know that bit of common knowledge. Regurgitating memes, falsehoods and generalized statements is no way to present a position on an issue as delicate as this, but I guess some people choose to appeal to emotion rather than rational thought.

  2. I bet you are perfect and have never forgotten a word in a text message or email. But that's not the point, the endless gun violence has to stop. He is not regurgitating memes, falsehoods and generalized statements, not doing anything to keep the people of this country safe is no longer and option.

  3. You just proved my point by doing the same thing. What do you mean by endless gun violence? Back up your words with some factual data in regards to to levels of gun ownership in varying countries and the resulting violence. Yes, gun violence is terrible, but it seems that people are unable to have a rational discussion about it without pointing fingers at those who simply disagree. One would hope that a society would be made aware of facts about about an issue and come to a conclusion about how to handle it, rather than be bombarded with opinions and emotionally-fueled rhetoric.

    1. No other industrialized country in the world has anywhere near the same number of mass killings and gun deaths per year as the US. Factual data common; you know it as well as I do, Japan, Australia, England and other countries that outlawed guns or restricted them have seen hardly any gun deaths. I'm not saying oh take their guns away, but no one needs an AR-15 or any assault rifle. Have you ever shot an AR-15 ? If you believe the biggest threat to our nation are the survivors of a school massacre, it’s time to question the validity of the political philosophy that brought you to that conclusion.

  4. You seem to not understand the point of my comments, as I'm not looking for a political debate. I'm simply stating that we shouldn't let the emotions brought up by a tragedy cloud the rational thought needed to come to some kind of mutually beneficial compromise in regards to keeping guns out of the hands of those who would do harm to others. I made no mention of the kids from Douglas High, but you've decided for some reason that I see them as a threat of some kind. You've also decided to come to the conclusion that I follow some specific political philosophy that I need to question. I haven't made any reference to politics. I have only suggested that people need to keep a level head in times like these and not get caught up in misleading and false information.

And as far as your statistics, the United States actually ranks eleventh in the world when it comes to violent gun deaths, as per the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.

  5. I made no mention of the kids from Douglas High. Funny you mention misleading and false information. Per the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, assault by firearms in the United States and globally from 1990 to 2015. Among countries ranked by total GDP in 2015, the United States had the highest number of deaths for both sexes combined in 2015; deaths by firearm assaults were more than 10 times higher than the combined number of deaths for the next 4 highest countries by GDP combined: China, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom. 13,111 people died from gun violence and that is excluding self-harm and accidental deaths. You never answered my question, have you ever shot an AR-15 ?

Also when is the right time to work on sensible gun control ?
