Marvel 80 Years of Comics Posters Release

Greetings, True Believers! This month marks two great milestones in comics history, the celebration of Marvel’s 80th Anniversary of producing comic books and the birth of one of the most iconic and influential artists in all of comics, Jack “King” Kirby.

In light of these two events, Grey Matter Art are releasing three separate posters, each commemorating some of the most epic art, stories and creators of Marvel! From the 1st appearance of Peter Parker's Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy 15, to the origins of the Uncanny X-Men, and our first encounter with Wolverine in Hulk 181, these comics have become iconic to fans and legendary throughout Marvel's History. GMA have transformed these classic images into 16 x 24-inch limited edition screen-prints for fans and collectors to proudly display on their walls. You can buy them individually or as a set with matching numbers.

Thank you to Stan Lee for all the great characters and stories. Like a lot of people comics were one of the first forms of art I was exposed too. GMA sent me the info on this Saturday and Monday Stan passed away. Truly heartbreaking, but at the same time he did so much for so many people and will forever be an influence in many ways.

Mondo A Celebration of Marvel Comics Posters Release

Last Friday Mondo hosted the opening reception for 'SNKIT. BAMF. TWHIP: A Celebration of Marvel Comics,' a gallery show featuring posters and original artwork honoring the rich history of Marvel characters that began over 75 years ago. Thanks to everyone who came out! The exhibit runs through Dec. 19th. Gallery hours are Tues - Sat, 12PM - 6PM.
