Phenomenal artist and lovely human, Josh Keyes, returns to Tiny Showcase with a brand new painting! One of their favorite things about Josh is his devotion to wilderness conservation and climate change awareness. It's a regular theme in his work and this piece in particular spoke to TS. TS are thrilled to be able to offer prints of this gorgeous new work and raise some money for two really excellent wildlife charities.

Josh has chosen WIRES Australia to help rehabilitate injured and starving animals in the aftermath of horrific wildfires in New South Wales AND The Coral Reef Alliance to aid with the preservation of our essential coral reefs. Proceeds from the sale of "Drift" will be divided equally between the charities.

Tiny Showcase Frenzy Print by Josh Keyes Release

Josh Keyes returns to Tiny Showcase with another fantastic painting! Sharks are some of the oldest of our animal brethren. Most modern sharks –should they be so inclined– can trace their ancestry back 100 million years. That's pretty nifty considering we're only about 300 thousand years old! To us, "Frenzy" is a beautifully rendered contemplation of the impact that our species has upon the natural world.

Josh Keyes Float & Frontier 1 Art Prints Release

First off they've got Keyes' iconic "Float" which drops on July 20th, to coincide with the Apollo 11 moon landing way back in 1969. "The conception of both paintings rattled inside my mind for a few months before the image gelled. I spent some time watching footage of NASA missions and looking up at the stars at night, just thinking what if, and maybe.

I was stuck in indecision for a long time whether or not to make these paintings. The setting in space was so foreign to my previous work. I worked on some other paintings, but the idea of deep infinite space kept creeping through my thoughts. I guess the turning point was just to dive in and see what would happen. I was aware of Jeremy Geddes beautiful astronaut paintings, and wanted to find my own voice for working with this subject matter.

I think they are successful in that I accomplished what I set out to express. I would enjoy revisiting this theme in the future. I think the imagery is interesting and wacky, and when I look at the print, it transports me someplace far, far away. I like art that leaves me slightly confused and with unanswered questions. 1xRUN Presents Pangea Seed - Sea Walls Archive Access

Under the Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans umbrella, PangeaSeed in close collaboration with 1xRUN, is pleased to announce the inaugural Sea Walls Expeditions invitational. The expedition is scheduled to take place July 20 – 27, 2014 in Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

For this pioneering project, they are collaborating with a select group of internationally renowned contemporary artists, including Tatiana Suarez, Meggs, Tristan Eaton, Hannah Stouffer, Shark Toof, Curiot, Nosego, Vexta, Aaron Glasson, Saner, Celeste Byers and Cinzah Merkens. 1xRUN and PangeaSeed will offer these artists the opportunity to swim and study whale sharks and oceanic manta rays and experience these majestic giants in their natural environment. The experience will help to develop a direct connection in order to complete the next component of the project.
