Guzu Gallery Vulgaris Mortem: A Sofubi Art Toy Exhibition

Guzu Gallery x Violence Toy x Krotpong Industries Presents
Vulgaris Mortem: A Sofubi Art Toy Exhibition
Saturday, December 3, 2016 • 3-6pm
Guzu Gallery • Austin, TX

This December, Violence Toy and Krotpong Industries will team up with Guzu Gallery to bring you a one day only event featuring soft vinyl art toys!

The event will take place on Saturday, December 3rd, following the Friday night opening of Strange Beasts IV — the fourth installment of Guzu’s highly successful kaiju & Japanese pop culture themed group art show. The team has assembled an exceptional cast of talented toy makers for this exhibition…and cannot wait to reveal their many outstanding works of art!

Black plague, funerals, winter, death…these are the themes of Vulgaris Mortem. Each artist was asked to follow a pair of plague doctors on their dark journey to inspiration. Where they chose to go from there was entirely up to them.

This will be a one-day-only event, where those attending can take their purchases home at the end of the evening, or in-person at their convenience at a later date. Following the show, each piece that is still available will go on sale online for a limited time.

Sales will start as soon as the doors open and will be followed by a live musical set from surf rock kings and kaiju enthusiasts, The Del-Vipers. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Introducing Icy Skullz Resin Figures

So if you remember I released some resin Star Wars pieces last year(Click HERE to see them). I now have some new items you might dig. First are some superhero logos that like the others glow in the dark. There are now some Alien heads and eggs as well.

The coolest ones are Icy Skullz. Some change color, most glow in the dark, some even have a real bullet in the top of the skull. The ones I dig the most are the Grateful Dead ones that are  red, white and blue.

The all come with a bag to keep them in and glow in the dark like you would not believe.

Super heroes, Aliens and more buy them HERE

Android mini collectibles by Andrew Bell back in stock today

While you’re busy getting your Droid 2 purchase together tomorrow (the EVO 4G is better), don’t forget that you also have another shot at nabbing one of those Android mini collectibles that have been perpetually sold out since the Internet caught wind of their existence.

The Andrew Bell-designed collectible figures of the Android mascot have been impossible to find unless you were extremely lucky or willing to get gouged on eBay. Dead Zebra has announced that the collectibles – along with the do-it-yourself blank versions – will be back in stock tomorrow at The Dead Zebra Store. You can bet that these items will once again sell out quickly, but the company promises that it has a new system that should ease the process and give more people a chance to purchase.

Here’s the official statement from the Dead Zebra blog. Get your credit cards ready for tomorrow!

Starting tomorrow, August 11th 2010, we’ll be adding stock of random, cases, 4-packs, standard green and new blank do-it-yourself Androids to the shop every couple of hours ALL WEEK! Thanks to our new system, they won’t all be gone in 5 minutes (we hope!).

Note that orders are being limited to 20 total pieces and one order per household for the first week, this is to ensure that more people have a fair chance of picking up a little robot love.

Rockin Jelly Bean Invisible Woman Super Mixture Model By Mamegyorai

The first release will be Marvel's Invisible Woman sculpted super sexy by Rockin' Jelly Bean (www.rockinjellybean.com/) with paint by YATAKE (www.monkey-com.com/yatake/accel-hp).

Mr. Jelly Bean is known to most low brow art fans for his paintings and posters featuring uber-sexualized fantasy women and to Kaiju nerds for his posters and designs for Rumble Monsters.
