Zoltron Sue Nami Resin Sculpture Release

After 6 months of wonderfully tedious work with the exemplary team at Bigshot Toyworks, Zoltron is ready to release "Our Ambiguous and Immaculate Lady of Armageddon & Natural Disaster, Sue Nami."

Sue Nami was first unearthed in 2011, during the tragic Fukushima meltdown, while working on a poster for DEVO. From there, she took on a life of her own and her story continues to evolve. You can read her story here.

This is a very limited edition 9" Polystone Resin statue. Polystone is a compound made up of resin and powdered limestone, which gives it a durable and tangible, heavyweight porcelain-like finish. Each sculpture weighs just under 5 pounds and ships securely, in a laser cut foam insert, sealed inside of a fancy-pants box.

Because Z is insane, each sculpture is composed of 6 individual pieces, hand-cast, hand-assembled, hand-painted and hand-finished... Handy, right? Sue's braids are metal re-enforced. A hand screen-printed felt base helps to prevent surface scratching and secure her footprint.

Each sculpture is individually serial numbered and has a custom UPC code. Sculptures are retail boxed, ship with a fancy holographic sticker and are only available online exclusively at Zoltron.com.

Multiple painting techniques were used to achieve the finish, everything from hand painting, to airbrushing and transparent shadows washes. They used various sheens, matte paints, gloss and semi-gloss finishes.

Sculptures ship with corresponding, and as of yet unreleased, silkscreen Sue Nami & Bigshot Toyworks stickers printed by the heavies at Sticker Robot.

Yellow Nuclear Edition of 100
Black Angst Edition of 50

David Welker Transistor Boy Resin Figure & Print Release

Back in 2014 David Welker made a poster for the band Primus where he imagined a band of misfit heroes about to embark on a mission to save the world from alien invaders. The unlikely leader of this ragtag brigade was a little radioactive, neon magenta, space kid we have come to know as "Transistor Boy". With unwavering bravery and enthusiasm for this and all missions of peril, he leads the way like a beacon in the galaxy.

And now because of the three dimensional visions of his good friends at Bottleneck Gallery he has materialized in this world as a 6" hand painted resin figure. Available this Friday September 14th at 12noon EST with a limited edition, signed and numbered, metallic screen print included in your purchase of $125. He comes in a cool box. He is cool.

Look for the release in his online store page.

Bottleneck Gallery are incredibly proud to reveal a project that they’ve been working on for the past two years: Marq Spusta’s Baby Blissed Out Bug statue!

Marq’s psychedelic art has always entranced BNG, so they were ecstatic about giving that 2D bliss a third dimension. In addition to the finely detailed statue, each order of the Baby Blissed Out Bug statue includes a mystery 5 x 7 inch mini-print that continues the story of the Blissed Out Bug. BNG think everybody will be bugging out when they see the statue and print in-person!

The coolest ones are Icy Skullz. Some change color, most glow in the dark, some even have a real bullet in the top of the skull. The ones I dig the most are the Grateful Dead ones that are  red, white and blue.

The all come with a bag to keep them in and glow in the dark like you would not believe.

Star Wars Day Plastic Resin Figure Release

Every Star Wars fan knows what today is, May the 4th Star Wars Day. I have always loved vinyl and resin figures and thought hey what if I made my own. So I have been learning and making my own, today marks the release of the first wave of plastic resin figures that I made. Since it's Star Wars Day I thought that would be a fun first batch.

Since I got the idea to make my own resin toys one man has been an endless source of help and knowledge that I can't thank enough. That man is Eric Nocella of Argonaut Resins who has answered a ton of my questions.

So what do we have you ask, there are Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Han Solo in Carbonite and Millennium Falcon's in different sizes and colors. Some glow in the dark and some are hand painted. Most are small and will fit on your desk to make friends and co-workers jealous.

Head over to the Inside the Poster Store HERE to see all the new Star Wars resin toys.
