Join them Friday afternoon, as Mark signs and numbers these prints at their booth (#405), in person, at 1 PM, as they become available for the first time ever. Mark will also be bringing some goodies from his recent releases that will be available in small numbers. Whatever prints are left after Mark’s signing will be available for the rest of the weekend at the booth.

Nathan Ota Birds of Play Print On Sale Today

 "I have been painting birds out of my head for a long time and this is a first painting where I actually used reference and painted star patterns on the chest of the birds. I usually stay away from reference photos because I don't like to be held up on relying on photos unless it is really necessary. This painting is a first for me in many ways. My recent collaborations with Risk has really opened my eyes to be more free and let things just happen. This is most evident in the background. I originally started sketching in my book of birds from photos and it just came to life after I did the other bird. I decided to do a play of words from Birds of prey to "Birds of Play" 2 birds not having a worry in the world and just having fun. Something I wish I could do more often. The original is painted on panel with acrylics. I start my surface with about 4-5 layers of gesso and about 2-3 thin layers of texture paste before I get started with my painting. I'm very particular about my surface and it always has to be just right. My paintings always start from dark to light where my shadows stay transparent with glazes and I gradually work my lights to opaque. The original painting will be in an upcoming show of mine. Jacob Bannon Lightning Strikes Prints Four Different Colors On Sale Now

This print features artwork that was used for the Converge & Napalm Death Split 7"EP. Jacob Bannon chose to do something a bit different then previous print projects. As oppose to the other three editions of this print, this version was printed using Metallic Gold, Black, and Translucent inks. Keeping true to the original cover. There are 3 other colorways as well.

Each print measures in at 25"X25" and is hand signed, numbered, and embossed.

Robert Wilson The Mountain Goats Tour posters on sale NOW

Artist Robert Wilson worked closely with The Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle to come up with the imagery for this poster set to promote their recent West Coast tour! Darnielle is a big comic book fan, and much like The Mountain Goats’ songs, they wanted to tell a story with the prints!

Both prints are 18x24, and are hand-printed by Nakatomi. Featuring florescent pink ink, these prints are signed and numbered by the artist in an edition of 100! The prints SOLD OUT on tour for the band, and the 25 of each that Nakatomi has for sale are all that’s left!

Tonight's Pearl Jam Poster from Oslo Norway by Chuck Sperry and Chris Shaw On Sale Details

As Pearl Jam's European tour winds down, tonight's poster is done by a couple of old school San Francisco artists Chuck Sperry and Chris Shaw. This collaboration series of posters has been great. Can't wait to see who Todd McFarlane is paired with tomorrow night.

I teamed up with Chris Shaw to make Pearl Jam’s Oslo poster. Chris and I have both made Pearl Jam posters in the mid-1990′s. So Oslo’s Pearl Jam poster is a mix of New School and Old School Rock Poster Art.
Since the theme of the PJ tour posters are VS, we immediately thought of a Ying-Yang form as a good way to communicate that idea.
Then we thought of that crazy “Norway Spiral” that filled the night sky over Norway a couple years back (because we both love unexplained and mysterious phenomena like that, even if it was probably a Russian rocket spinning out of control).

 We gave it a psychedelic edge by making a Ying-Yang out of the form of the Norway Spiral, and creating two flying eyeballs, representing the opposing forces of Fire and Water. We wanted this poster to have a touch of skater punk, Psychedelia, and to just be iconic and bad-ass.


The small, subtle, silver spirals in the background, not only mirrors the Ying-Yang of the central image, but is inspired by Rosemalling, which is a Norwegian folk-art of decorative painting. This form of decoration originated in the rural valleys of Norway during the Baroque and Rococo Period in the mid 18th Century. It was a folk response to the intricate designs the wealthy folks in Norway were importing. The forms are usually simple and based on “C” and “S” forms. That seemed appropriate since Chris Shaw and Chuck Sperry are both “CS” names

Chris and Chuck both are releasing their Signed and Numbered, Artist Editions, on ChuckSperry.net.

They’ll making a very limited online release of the Signed and Numbered, Artist Editions of this poster here on Monday, July 16, 2012 at a random time.
