Mark Englert’s Pawnee National Park Poster Benifit

The folks at Bottleneck Gallery love superheroes. They give us hope, and allow us to aspire to be the best versions of ourselves, while also allowing our dreams to run wild with possibilities. And while we tend to deal with the fictional types of superheroes with some of our releases, there are often real superheroes out in the world that we hear about, and BNG want to support these heroes as best as they can. So this week, they’re releasing a new edition of Mark Englert’s Pawnee National Park print to support the relentlessly brave and heroic firefighters battling the devastating fires out in California.

Thanks to their many vigilant buyers and fans, they’ve been made aware that Mark's previous version of Pawnee, which BNG released as a limited edition print a few years ago, has unfortunately been stolen and used without their consent by the douche bags att Teechip. In order to help combat art piracy, and to help the much more important issue of firefighter safety, they’ve teamed up with Mark to release a special timed edition variant of the Parks and Rec inspired Pawnee National Park print.  DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TEECHIP.

100% of the profits from this print release will go to the Los Angeles Fire Department in order to fund more hydration backpacks, which help firefighters as they combat the wildfires plaguing California. Aladdin & Tomorrowland Disney Posters Release From Cyclops Print Works

Cyclops Print Works is proud to present two brand new limited-edition serigraphs to celebrate the release of Aladdin and Disney’s Tomorrowland on Blu-Ray/DVD.
Mark Englert’s, “You Ain’t Never Had A Friend Like Me”, is a gorgeous 11-color serigraph; plus, it features metallic inks. Mark continues his series of Disney art prints depicting one of the classic, musical moments of the film. We see Aladdin looking up at the Genie as he towers above him after coming out of the lamp for the first time. This piece is a wonderful complement to his show stopping serigraph from this year’s D23 Expo, “She Really Is A Funny Girl,” which they’ll also be making available online for the first time as well Friday!

For Tomorrowland, Disney Animation’s extremely talented artist, Joe Dunn, created a wonderful interpretation of the Utopian city depicted in the film. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled, because Joe added all sorts of clever references and easter eggs to the art, and these are sure to please Disney fans. This 10 color serigraph utilizes a split fountain to create the beautiful color blends in the background. As if that weren’t already enough, Joe will also be hand signing each piece of this limited run.

Mark Englert RWBY Poster They Are The Darkness and We Are The Light

Rooster Teeth have the next release in their RWBY poster series set to go. Today’s artist, Mark Englert, is one that was at the top of their ‘get’ list when Tim Doyle and Brian first sat down to talk about RWBY posters. They reached out to him, and it turned out that not only was he interested, he also happened to be a Rooster Teeth fan.

Mark started releasing posters a couple of years ago with a wintry poster based on The Thing. Since then, he’s done dozens of intricately detailed posters for all sorts of pop culture properties. His Jurassic World poster was a hot item at San Diego Comic Con earlier this summer.

Here’s what Mark had to say about his RWBY poster: "They are the darkness and we are the light."

“I would have to say that my favorite segments of RWBY are the fight scenes. The battle that has stuck with me is when the team really comes together and takes down that Nevermore. There's such a cool series of sequences that build up to Ruby being slingshot through the air towards the Grimm. It's the moment that pops into my head whenever I think about the show, which made choosing an image for my piece very easy.”

Mark Englert Fringe Print "i've asked god for a sign of forgiveness" Release Details

Mark Englert will be selling one of his most requested and popular prints today. Based on the show Fringe, "i've asked god for a sign of forgiveness" is 12 x 36 screen print that he did for Gallery1988. It's white ink screen printed on black french paper. He doesn't have all that many to sell and most of them are low-numbered ones from the run and a couple are low-numbered AP copies.

Mark Englert World's Best Boss Print Release Details

Mark Englert's latest print is probably his most obscure yet... it's also his first giclee. Thursday night, fans say goodbye to one of the most consistently funny sitcoms on the air, The Office. Many scoffed at the idea just like anyone else who was a fan of the original British version... Mark was very happy to be proven wrong since he is a huge fan of the show.

One of my favorite things about the series is that it wasn't afraid of a happy ending... Jim and Pam's relationship being a great example. When Michael Scott left Dunder Mifflin, it was a sad, but ultimately happy occasion. He went through a lot to be with Holly and those characters went off to live happily ever after.- Mark Englert

The Battle at Blackwater Game Of Thrones Mark Englert AP Print Release Details

Mark Englert melted the eyes of New York last weekend when this was released at the Bottleneck Gallery Show When the Lights Go Out. The Battle at Blackwater print is inspired by the hit HBO show Game of Thrones and upon seeing it the internet peed itself hoping to be able to get one. Well that proved rather hard the other day. But now you have one last chance at it.

The print is 12 x 36 4 color screen print that glows in the dark

This Friday, between 11-12pm PST, Mark will be selling 40 AP copies of this print in his store. 20 of them will be just the print, for $50 plus $13 shipping US, $15 to Canada and Mexico, $23 international. All prints are signed and numbered by Mark.


He'll also have 20 copies of his April Fools day handbill to include as a set with "The Battle at Blackwater". A set will cost $70 plus shipping. He'll also have 5 handbills to sell on their own, for $20 each.

When The Lights Go Out Bottleneck Gallery's New Show PREVIEWS

This upcoming Friday, April 12th, Bottleneck Gallery will be having their 8th exhibit, When The Lights Go Out. For me this is a show that has been long over due. Everyone loves those special posters with a killer glow in the dark layer or one that makes your eyes freak out under black light.

Using glow in the dark inks, over 60 artists will be submitting pieces that cover a wide variety of topics.

For Bottleneck, the best part of this show is that they were able to work with many artists that they normally don’t get a chance too. And to present their pieces in the gallery, they have outfitted the entire place with black lights. The results are incredible. If anyone is in the area, come down and check it out. Should be a good time (ordered glow sticks and other accessories).

Also, as of this week, they are closing in on the $5,500 donation range. Make a Wish will be the charity they are donating to for this show.

The Ancient One Print by Mark Englert Release Details

Mark Englert is releasing a new print today inspired by the movie The Neverending Story. It's a 12x24, 5-color hand-pulled screen print with one metallic... a very tiny metallic. The run size will match "it's a dinosaur" and there is no limit to how many you can buy. He will also refund some shipping if you bought dinosaur as well. He'll also be throwing in some free 6x8 handbills, partial images of them are shown above, he wants them to be a surprise when you get your order.

It's a Dinosaur Print by Mark Englert Release Details

Mark Englert's newest print, "It's a Dinosaur" will be on sale for 24 hours, starting this Wednesday, February 20th at 10am PST. The price will be $50 and the edition size will be determined by how many are purchased, plus a couple extra for family and friends.

 It's 5-colors with a metallic ink, 18x24 inches with a 1-inch border all around and because it's being printed to order, it could take 2-3 months to ship. If you'd like a sketch in the margin, it will cost $30. Mark can also draw in more silhouetted figures and/or dinosaurs in the foreground for $30 a piece!

 As an added incentive, he'll be randomly inserting 4 Fringe and 5 Django Unchained posters!

 He'll also be putting up the pencils for the dinosaur used in the print up for sale in his store at the same time the timed release goes live. It's pencils on 11x14 watercolor paper and it will be $200.

 Multiple orders will be accepted, and even encouraged, as a big reason for doing this as a timed release is because Mark's new house was flooded over the holidays.

 As he stated in a previous blog entry, Mark and his family returned home from Christmas vacation in Canada to find their newly purchased house a flooded mess. A pipe burst and ruined all of the walls and floors upstairs and downstairs, as well as just about everything in his wife's and his work spaces downstairs...

The Oscars Movie Poster Series by Gallery 1988 and Nine Artists

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and Gallery1988 commissioned a small group of young international artists to create original screen prints inspired by this year’s nine Best Picture nominees. Oh boy there are some good ones

 The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Gallery1988 will present “For Your Consideration,” their first collaborative exhibition featuring art inspired by the 2012 Best Picture Oscar® nominees, on display February 14 through 17 at Gallery1988 Melrose in Los Angeles.

“Working hand-in-hand with the Academy has been a dream come true for Gallery1988 and its artists,” said Jensen Karp, co-owner and co-curator of Gallery1988. “So much inspiration has come from past Oscar telecasts as well as the amazing range of films that have been nominated this year. It was a perfect fit for our style of artwork and treatment, and we can't wait to show everyone the results of some of our most creative contemporary minds."

 These screen prints are not available for purchase; however, fans will have several opportunities to obtain limited edition posters.
