Arik Roper War of the Worlds Movie Poster Release

No comments:

"The War Of The Worlds" was an episode of the American radio drama anthology series "The Mercury Theatre on the Air". It was directed and narrated by the great Orson Welles as an adaptation of H. G. Wells's novel "The War of the Worlds" from 1898.

The radio drama was broadcast live as a Halloween episode on Sunday, October 30, 1938 at 8PM. The episode became famous for causing panic among listeners that mistook the radio drama for a news report.

Mad Duck Posters are excited to sell an incredible new poster for The War Of The Worlds radio broadcast by the talented Arik Roper! Arik did an amazing job showcasing Welles delivering the radio broadcast while the invasion from the classic book takes place in the outside world!

Posters are officially licensed and will be available to purchase this Wednesday, March 13th at 12PM EDT HERE!

Sleep Arik Roper & David D'Andrea Santa Cruz & Santa Ana Poster Release

No comments:

Another chapter in the Sleep saga has come to pass. Santa Cruz, ground zero for west coast devotees and family, opened the doors of turn-of-the-century ballroom Cocoanut Grove to full capacity. The Riff was honored in true Santa Cruz fashion. Santa Ana's Burgerama Festival witnessed the second night of tone mastery.

Arik Roper and David D'Andrea created a collaborative poster to commemorate the happenings , their second thus far.

Those familiar with the Sleep canon will recognize the scene. Two Lungsmen survey the squatted ruins of the Marijuanaut, the Great Sphinx below and a transporter ship in their wake.

The print is a massive 24 x 36", 6 color edition of 100. (150 show edition / 100 Artist Edition) Masterfully printed at Monolith Press.
Please note that prints are numbered but not signed.
The Artist Edition will be available at 12 noon (Pacific time) on Saturday April 5th. $50 plus shipping

When The Lights Go Out Bottleneck Gallery's New Show PREVIEWS

No comments:

This upcoming Friday, April 12th, Bottleneck Gallery will be having their 8th exhibit, When The Lights Go Out. For me this is a show that has been long over due. Everyone loves those special posters with a killer glow in the dark layer or one that makes your eyes freak out under black light.

Using glow in the dark inks, over 60 artists will be submitting pieces that cover a wide variety of topics.

For Bottleneck, the best part of this show is that they were able to work with many artists that they normally don’t get a chance too. And to present their pieces in the gallery, they have outfitted the entire place with black lights. The results are incredible. If anyone is in the area, come down and check it out. Should be a good time (ordered glow sticks and other accessories).

Also, as of this week, they are closing in on the $5,500 donation range. Make a Wish will be the charity they are donating to for this show.

Events:
Opening Reception: Friday, April 12th 7pm - 10pm
General Online Sale: Saturday, April 13th 12pm
Charity: Portion of the Proceeds will go to Make a Wish.

Now the previews, I had the exclusive reveal for Godmachine's Gallery exclusive print last night
