Working in a rare collaboration with Zoltron on these Primus posters was a blast. I’m very happy that we co-operated seamlessly, bringing everyone this cool cross-over between my art direction of the Firehouse Goldenvoice Poster Series and Zoltron’s art direction for the Primus Poster Series. I’m glad to hear these were quickly snapped up at the the two back-to-back shows at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco, December 30 and 31.

Here I’m releasing my poster; a limited number in an uncut edition with my art and Zoltron’s; and a very special, very limited foil uncut edition.

Zoltron will be releasing his Primus rock poster, his uncuts, and foils simultaneously on his site.

I’ll be making a very limited release of my Primus poster, the uncut edition, and foil variant on Friday, January 4 at a random time at ChuckSperry.net

Emek Primus Orlando Poster Release Details

Next week Emek will be releasing his "3D" Finkus Primus poster silkscreen on board and shipped FLAT.

Main Edition of 200 (150 sent to band to sell at the show, etc.). He will have 50 from the main edition; his copies are doodled whereas the show posters are not. He will also have a Deluxe Edition of 50 that are signed, numbered, and doodled with extra 3D elements

Derek Hess Suicide Note Print Release Details

“The Sea Also Rises- Frog Prince” print by Tim Doyle- artist copies on sale

Originally part of the hit ‘Strange Beasts’ show at Gallery Guzu last month, Nakatomi now has artist copies of Doyle’s new print available for purchase! (Including the sold-out Metallic Variant!)

The full and completely unwieldy title for this print is- “The Sea Also Rises- Incident 28: The Frog Prince Commands His Homunculus.”

This 5- color print measures 24×36 and is hand signed and numbered by Doyle in an edition of 125. Nakatomi will have much less for sale.

This is Doyle’s first original 24×36 print since 2008!

The Metallic Paper variant is printed on ‘Galvanized Silver’ 111lb Curious brand paper, and is limited to an edition of 20 copies. The gallery sold out of their allotment immediately at the show- obviously Nakatomi will have much less for sale.

"I was initially going to have the girl playing a synthesizer, but it became clear that an arcade machine from my youth would be a perfect fit. Well, I was working on the piece, like I said, she was originally playing a Moog Voyager synthesizer. But sometimes I get tired of painting all of those knobs and tedious details that make a synth so goddam sweet. Fun to play a synth, hell to paint. The arcade cabinet solved this problem, without altering the dynamic I was going for. I put the cigarette in the girls mouth as a nod to all of my arcade heroes from back in the 80's, most of whom were 9th degree burnouts who swore at the machine and would smoke while chasing that high score so that they could write something dirty on the top board." - Ron Zakrin

Jay Ryan Andrew Bird at the Hideout Poster On Sale

Above is a poster for a show Andrew Bird played to about 150 people at Chicago's HIDEOUT in the last days of 2012. The poster was made in an edition of 300, of which most went to the attendees of the show. Jay Ryan has fewer than 50 available on his site.  Seven screens (including two different layers of snow), 18 x 24 inches, $30. Please note that this print includes milk AND cookies. It is also factually correct and morally justified.
