This Thursday, October 6th, from 7-10 PM at Gallery1988 (Melrose), join them for what is easily their craziest exhibition yet. Alex Pardee (Oakland) and Skinner (Sacramento) have teamed up to create "The Butcher Kings." Two of the most demented minds they've ever displayed have concocted quite the experience, creating dozens of new works each, all affordable and funnier/sicker/more exciting than the next! This show will be kept hidden from the public until the doors open on Thursday night, so there will be no preview or sneak peeks prior to the reception.
Both artists, Alex and Skinner, who have lived together for the past 2 weeks producing artwork, will be in attendance. Get ready for an experience you won't quite forget, and perfectly timed with Halloween around the corner.
Here is what Jensen Karp, owner & curator of Gallery 1988 says about the show:
"I don't even really know what to say. Today, I was lucky enough to see a small preview of the work that will be on display at our Melrose location starting October 6th and I haven't really spoken to anyone since. Alex Pardee and Skinner, who have taken the idea of a 2-man show to brand new heights by living with each other and working non-stop next to each other for the past 2 weeks, have created what might be the craziest, and most impressive shows I've ever seen. This one is going to tightly wrapped in secrecy, because the goal of the show is to see it's massive undertaking all at one time, and give you the ability to buy some incredible affordable art (keep in mind, the last time we did that it was Olly Moss's show, so expect more greatness).
Disclaimer - This show will have graphic and sexual imagery on display. We do not suggest young viewers for this exhibit.
