N C Winters is releasing another amazing piece of work this week.
N.C. talks about the process:
This was an exciting one as Mastodon is a band I’ve been really itching to create something for. The visuals in both their music and the actual art surrounding their music (album covers, show graphics, promotion, etc) have always been incredibly inspiring, and I’ve been wanting to contribute to their creative world for quite some time. This was also a unique experience in that Lady Lazarus, who handled both printing and artist curation for this entire tour, made the decision to have all the posters be a massive 21″ x 33″ size. Additionally, each poster run was stamped with a Lady Lazarus embossed chop in the corner and printing on the back denoting each artist in the tour (I did the 21st poster out of 26 tour dates). It was a blast to be able to create a powerful image at a larger-than-usual scale, and the final posters turned out incredible.
