Shawn Knight & John Vogl Brothers Grimm Prints

Galerie F is pleased to welcome Shawn Knight and John Vogl for their dual mini exhibition. They approached Knight and Vogl to exhibit new works - their styles are varied in subject matter and aesthetic, they were eager to see them display together. This exhibition celebrates 200th anniversary of Grimm's Fairy Tale (2nd Volume). Featuring exclusive new screenprints themed on the artists' favorite tales from the Brothers Grimm.

Hansel & Gretel, Snow White, Cinderella, Rumpelstiltskin - only a few of the many titles to be re-imagined by these talented designers.

Galerie F had the pleasure of hosting Justin Van Genderen for a day at their C2E2 booth in late April. He released two brand new prints for the weekend which are now on sale in their webstore. "Gotham" and "Metropolis" are both variant designs of previously printed works. Van Genderen added new textures and depth to each design, and FugScreens Studios printed each with metallic inks that make the prints shine.

Shawn Knight & Michael Hacker Toxic Holocaust Vienna Poster

Michael Hacker recently did another collaboration with Shawn Knight for Toxic Holocaust.
There was even a super limited beer called "Dead Embryonic Cells" (brewed by brewmaster T. Shellraiser) with their label design.

Ms. 45 Shawn Knight & Friday the 13th Gary Pullin Poster Release from Mondo

 

Mondo will be releasing a poster for Drafthouse Films' newest release, MS. 45 by Shawn Knight. If you have never heard of or seen the film,  watch the trailer right HERE and then check out the movie as soon as you can. You won't be disappointed.

Shawn Knight Goblin Pontiac & Chicago Poster Release and Child Bite Benefit

Shawn Knight will be selling his Goblin posters for the Pontiac and Chicago shows for the cult horror soundtrack group Goblin on their first tour in North America. Goblin is an Italian progressive rock band known for their soundtracks for Dario Argento films. They were initially named Cherry Five and were influenced by Genesis and King Crimson.

The posters are 24" x 18" each. Two 3 color screenprints (Off-white, Gray, Black) on Construction Electric Red 100lb cover stock. Glows in the dark!
Hand numbered editions of 154 & 152.

Recently some assholes ripped off Shawn's band Child Bite, they stole their van with most of their gear in it.

Shawn Knight & Michael Hacker Melvins Hamtramck Poster World Premier Exclusive

One of the great things about Flatstock is it brings artists together and when that happens the creative energy is high. Shawn Knight decided to have his friend Austrian artist Michael Hacker work with him once again on the Melvins poster for tonight's show in Hamtramck, Michigan. Now this is not the first time the two have worked together on a Melvins poster, they did one last year as well. Both Shawn and Michael will be at the show as well so be sure to say hi if you are there.

The two of them worked on it at Flatstock and Shawn finished it then the poster got printed yesterday at Progress Custom Screen Printing ( Who supplied some of the process pictures you see, Thanks Brian).

The poster is 24 x 18 with an edition of 100. Pick it up at the show tonight and if you are not on the show Shawn will have them for sale on his website Monday.

Tonight's Soundgarden poster from Detroit

Soundgarden is in Detroit tonight for one show before heading to Chicago for a couple of shows. Looks like Detroit got another good looking poster. This tour has had a strong lineup of artists with no lame posters so far. Only thing is I have no idea who did the poster. My friends at the show asked the merch people and they had no idea either and it's not on the poster anywhere. So if anyone knows drop a comment or an email to me please. Judging from the look of it I dont even have a good guess, cool looking poster though
