Free Friday Poster Giveaway Featuring Jeff Boyes of Visual Technicians

59 comments:

Back in August Jeff Boyes had his first gallery show with Gallery 1988 in Venice with Joshua Budich and Jay Shaw. He debuted 5 new prints at the show, one of them being Wolfmobile which is inspired by the movie Teen Wolf. In talking about things Jeff mentioned hey lets give one to your fine readers. Of course I said great yes I would love too. So this is the last Halloween themed poster being given away and it is killer.

Wolfmobile is a signed and numbered edition of 60, 4-color screen print with metallic blue ink and the inks on this are nuts. I tried getting a picture of it but's hard to see all the great detail on it. It measures 10.5 inches by 26 inches

Now go to the top of the post above the picture and click on comments or scroll down (depends on how you see this post) to leave a comment regarding who played your favorite Wolfman to have a chance at winning the poster. Don't worry if your comment does not appear immediately I have to approve them before they are published. I will use the random number generator to pick a winner. Entries are limited to ONE PER PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD. Please leave your name with the comment, comments without names will not be accepted. Entries will be accepted until midnight PDT Saturday November 10 that's two days to enter with the winner announced on Sunday.

I should have mentioned earlier if anyone mentions Twilight I will delete your comment and you will be banned from all giveaways in the future.

THANK YOU again to Jeff Boyes for beautiful poster for the giveaway. He still has this and some others from the show along with his Breaking Bad poster for sale at his website HERE

Crazy 4 Cult "Point Break" Print Preview by Jeff Boyes of Visual Technicians

1 comment:

Jeff was asked to contribute some work for the latest Crazy 4 Cult show at Gallery 1988.

What Jeff had to say about his art work:

I've wanted to do a Point Break print for years! Growing up my friends and I watched this movie a lot. I think being from Canada, Surfing movies were a little extra awesome to us because it was a lifestyle we couldn't really experience or live.

The colors are a bit of a homage to the Endless Summer poster. (except I used red instead of Pink) I was also going for the early 90's surf colors.

A little tribute to Patrick Swayze and his character Bodhi.

They are sold through Gallery 1988 and online at www.nineteeneightyeight.com starting on July 9th (maybe July 10th)

Kiwi Print by Jeff Boyes of Visual Technicians

No comments:

Wow Jeff could not have planned this any better. With the performance of the New Zealand team yesterday in the World Cup match this is more than fitting.

Edition of 60, signed and numbered
16" by 26"
Printed by D&L Screenprinting in Seattle on Cream Mohawk stock.
$40 plus shipping

I ask Jeff about the concept behind the print.
"A. I'm a New Zealand citizen as well as a Canadian citizen. I grew up with this copper etching of a Kiwi at the bottom of my stairs so since then I've always wanted to illustrate a Kiwi in a more modern way.

B. Try not to let the things you can't control get you down. Everything behind him is in flight, but he's just fine walking his own path."

Jeff as you may or may not know was one of the artist in the last LOST series of prints he also did a killer poster last year for The Professional Movie that was part of the Crazy fo Cult Show at Gallery 1988
