"This image was created over the course of 3 weeks in January of 2015.  It features Optimus Prime & Megatron fighting in the ancient Roman Coliseum while 2 Voltron lions look on, ready to pounce. The idea came from Rolf Vetter. He has a sofa factory. I bartered with Mr. Vetter for a custom sofa.  Cool sofa.  It was created using oil on birch panel. I had never painted Transformers before. These are modern for me – I usually paint old tin toys." - Eric Joyner

Futura Crowd Control Print Release

Library Street Collective had the opening of Futura's NEW HORIZONS and Futura: Public Matter at the gallery and in the Belt alley this past Saturday. The crowd was enormous - matched only by the energy level - as fans welcomed Lenny McGurr to Detroit.

To commemorate the exhibition, Futura has created a limited edition 9-color hand-pulled screenprint in collaboration with Library Street Collective, titled CROWD CONTROL. The print features the artist’s iconic imagery set atop a map of Detroit and will release this Wednesday, June 22nd at 12pm EST at lscgallery.com/shop.

Matt Leunig Widespread Panic Rogers AR Poster

Widespread Panic are on tour and stopped in Rogers, Arkansas on June 17th, and with that comes another excellent poster by Matt Leunig.

The concept for this piece was the under represented but not forgotten, Lady Columbia (aka. Goddess Columbia, Miss Columbia, etc..) who is the cultural little sister to the iconic American patriot, Uncle Sam. Columbia who is often confused with Lady Liberty, is the female personification of the United States of America while Lady Liberty, though similar is more the representation of the ideals and what we hope America represents.

Blink 182 Maxx242 Richmond Poster World Premiere Exclusive
