Daniel Danger DEFECTIVE COMICS #'s 3 & 4

No comments:

Daniel Danger was going to keep this for SDCC in July but then he decided otherwise, but he did another fun DEFECTIVE COMICS print of ol' Batsy Mc NoParents lurking over a Blockbuster Video, and he ran it on the same sheet as the Toys R Us print when he sent it to print. It's up in his webstore right now along with the Toys R Us one.

The print is 18x24" four color screenprint, signed.

If you already bought Toys R Us you use the promo code "IBOUGHTTHEFIRSTBATMAN" at checkout it will remove the shipping cost of this new one from your order, and both prints will ship together and save you $10-20 or so. This is sort of a limited opportunity thing as he'll start packing orders early next week.
"I love these silly smaller prints, but I have a barrage of grander personal artwork coming very soon, work I'm really really excited about that i can't wait to get out into the world, so stay tuned." -DD

Yuko Shimizu Batman Returns And Catwoman Posters Release From Dark Hall Mansion

No comments:

Dark Hall Mansion is so very pleased to welcome leading contemporary artist, Yuko Shimizu, on for DHM's latest officially licensed limited edition print release, "Batman Returns," in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment.

Dark Hall Mansion has had this project in development with Yuko for quite some time so it's most gratifying to finally be able to share her unique vision with fans. From the varied Batman films DHM offered it was "Batman Returns" that most appealed to Yuko as illustrator along with colleague, Claudia de Almeida, on as designer. Yuko's two striking individual prints offer a standard edition piece reflecting not only Gotham's protagonists but its topsy-turvy, almost surreal world, along with Yuko's striking variant edition which finds her favorite character from the film, "Catwoman," surrounded by feline companions and a reference or two to characters fans will instantly recognize. Yuko's meticulously detailed and highly stylized illustrations well compliment Claudia's layout and logo design in creating two prints those same fans won't soon forget. In addition to DHM's "Batman Returns" standard and variant edition prints are two select foil editions where the foil substrate reveals itself within various areas of each print creating a select, dynamic, and reflective edition.

All officially licensed Dark Hall Mansion limited edition "Batman Returns" prints go on sale this coming Tuesday, May 31st, at 12:30 PM PDT on their dedicated store page here: http://www.darkhallmansionstore.com

Tom Whalen Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice Movie Poster Release From Dark Hall Mansion

No comments:

Dark Hall Mansion, in partnership with Warner Bros Consumer Products, will release a Tom Whalen print based on this year's most anticipated action-adventure film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Artist Tom Whalen was instantly drawn to this project and has come up with a composition that underscores the film's moody and powerful aesthetic, not only illustrating the power of the characters in opposition but also the duality of their natures and the very thematic's of the film itself. Tom has stylistically rendered Superman's cape as fully enveloping the city and populace he seeks to protect while deliberately counter posing the dynamic with the Bat-signal slashing through, challenging Superman, and the cost of that salvation. Tom's standard edition print is a brooding, moodily toned piece that ultimately draws the eye down toward the three Super Heroes as they take on villainous threats while his Variant edition's blue tones harken to classic DC Comic’s comic book covers.

All officially licensed Dark Hall Mansion Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice limited edition prints go on sale Tuesday, March 22nd, at 9:30 AM PST on our dedicated store page at: http://www.darkhallmansionstore.com

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Standard Edition of 280 $65

Laurent Durieux The Dark Knight Batman Poster Release From Mondo

No comments:

Mondo have a lot in the works for 2016 and are thrilled to get right back into it with a  new poster celebrating one of the greatest superhero films of our time: Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT.

First up they'll have a pair of posters from Laurent Durieux with Batman standing tall amidst the chaos and mayhem that's been brought to Gotham City by The Joker. Originally, this poster was set to be released at a screening of the film at the Alamo Drafthouse last September, but was unfortunately unable to happen in time. They're stoked to get it out to you now!

Here's what Laurent had to say about the artwork:
"It's been too long since I've come up with a new print for Mondo and this one has been finished and ready for many months. I have been both very anxious and excited about the day when it would eventually be revealed. THE DARK KNIGHT is such a great film, and most certainly is my favorite of Nolan's trilogy. I hope I did it justice. A lot of TLC went into it in the hope I would. Thank you Mondo for this great opportunity!"

Nychos Two Face Batman Print Release

No comments:

Geek-Art and French Paper Art Club are particularly proud of their collaboration with Nychos on the Batman license. They have been fan of this Austrian artist since they first had a look on his Street Anatomy series a few years ago. Fan of comics and drawings, hunting was a tradition in his family. No wonder the dissection of imaginary and real animals is now his specialty. The origins of this unique art series comes from his early watching of Disney's The Little Mermaid. Nychos asked himself how mermaids could reproduce, how their body could work... Questions he himself brought the answers on through his art. He later imagined the anatomy of Sponge Bob for Nickelodeon, or for the Ninja Turtles. He mainly draws giant murals with gigantic and gorgeous dissected animals, always adding a touch of humor to his art. In 2005 he funded the Rabbit Eye Movement, based on his art, that quickly led to a gallery / illustration agency in Vienna, through which he collaborates with many urban artists.

With this Two-Face, an artwork especially created by Nychos for the French Paper Gallery and Geek-Art, they are really proud to bring their official Batman project to the next level. This world famous artist brings us his vision of one of the most interesting enemies of the Batman through an incredible 8 colors screen print, limited to 100 pieces shipped with Certificate of Authenticity. This giant print (60x80cm) will be available online and in the gallery this Wednesday the 9th of September, and will undoubtedly be one of the masterpieces of our upcoming DC Comics official art show coming soon. Stay tuned !
