Stan & Vince Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Poster Release From Dark Hall Mansion

No comments:

Dark Hall Mansion is pleased to start the year with DHM's officially licensed limited edition print release in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS" by contemporary artist team, Stan & Vince, and available this Friday, January 27th!!

Building on the success of Dark Hall Mansion's official print release in 2016 for the first film in the "HARRY POTTER" series, we're honored to now be able to bring fans the climactic series closer that finds Harry Potter and Voldemort locked in a finale that is seven J.K. Rowling books in the making! Contemporary artists Stan & Vince not only capture the moment that culminates this epic struggle but specifically that turn within their final confrontation where Harry, through seemingly endless years of challenges and hard won faith, finally begins to best Voldemort and the triumphant ending is finally in sight, even to Voldemort himself.

Stan & Vince evoke mood, tone and magic for their Standard edition, a piece that is not sufficiently well served by simple monitor images but whose detail is best appreciated by clicking the closeups to recognize their detailing. Their Variant edition is a sharp, striking piece that heightens and distills tones for a restrained and elegant take on this masterful series closer.

DHM's limited edition "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS" fine art prints are officially Warner Bros licensed, hand numbered, 8-color screen prints measuring 24" x 36" with very few prints available worldwide given the millions of "HARRY POTTER" fans everywhere. Unlike the first "HARRY POTTER" print release in 2016, which was a timed edition and so available over the course of a week to all comers, prints for "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS" are available only on a first come basis beginning this Friday and limited to only the edition run cited below. Note: when these prints are sold there is NO reprinting or reissuing of editions so purchase where interested while you can.

Standard 24" x 36" Edition of 280 $65

Stan & Vince The Terminator Movie Poster Release By DaVinci's Dreams

No comments:

Arnold Schwarzenegger credits the first Terminator movie for opening the door for him to get into action movies. It's also one movie that is beloved by many people. There have not been that many good posters done for the movie, but now a new company DaVinci's Dreams have changed that. They got the dynamic French artistic duo Stan & Vince to create a killer poster for the company's first release.

I'm sure you're wondering like I was, who are these new guys and what are they all about.

DaVinci's Dreams are a modern day renaissance studio, born from their love of art, design and the retro aesthetics of the 80s that they grew up in.

Located in the UK they specialize in licensed and original creations, they design and produce innovative merchandise that connects people with their favorite characters and icons from the worlds of film, television, comic books and popular culture. Their vision is simple – focus on the collector and all else will follow.

DD always admired the works of Leonardo Da Vinci and consider him to be one of the most diversely talented individuals to have ever lived - a true Renaissance Man who dreamt far beyond his time. In his image, DaVinci’s Dreams will strive to create products that push the collecting market into new horizons.

In terms of our Branding and Identity DD brought in Canadian powerhouse James White aka Signalnoise. They wanted a designer with the ability to capture that all important 80s aesthetics and there was no man better for the job. As kids they grew up on a VHS Culture and wanted to encapsulate that with their brand. With chrome, power grids, screen lines and 80s neons, it’s safe to say James nailed our vision.

Stan & Vince Creature from the Black Lagoon Poster From Mondo

No comments:

On Thursday Mondo will be releasing an incredible poster for CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON by Stan & Vince, available in two versions. The colors, composition, title treatment...out of control. There will be the color edition and a classic black & white variant

Here's what Stan & Vince had to say about CREATURE and their thoughts behind the poster design:
"When Mondo asked us to work on a poster for CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, we didn’t hesitate for a second! The Creature!!! One of the most beautiful, iconic Universal classic monsters...along with the Frankenstein's Monster, the Mummy, The Metaluna Mutant and a few others. There aren't very many in the club!

We watched an anaglyph version of the film on French television in 1982 when we were 13-years-old. The experience was such a big moment for each of us and still remains in our minds with the same emotion and nostalgia.

Over sixty years after the release of the movie, we didn’t want to play on the mystery by representing just a part of the Creature. On the contrary, we imagined this poster on the walls of fans like ourselves able to contemplate and examine this amazing monster each day. Additionally, the idea of his arm rising out of the frame was included as a tribute to one of the first 3D films in cinema history."

Stan & Vince War of the Worlds Poster Release From Mondo

1 comment:

Mondotees is starting the new year off with a classic sci-fi movie. THE WAR OF THE WORLDS! Paris-based comic artists Stan & Vince have done such a fantastic job recapturing the vintage feel of Byron Haskin's 1953 film adaptation. On Wednesday they'll be releasing a Regular and Variant version of the poster, the Variant featuring a bright green, glow-in-the-dark layer.

The regular edition is 24" x 36" screen print. Hand numbered. Edition of 300.

The Glow in the Dark Variant is Hand numbered with an edition of 150.

Here's what Stan & Vince had to say about the piece:
"Byron Haskin's WAR OF THE WORLDS was released 62 years ago, and even though we weren’t around at the time, this movie was made for us. We KNOW it! Byron Haskin had to know that his movie was to be aired decades later in front of our 80s teenage eyes, printing powerful, everlasting images in our brains. We're pretty sure he also knew that Mondo was going to ask us to work on a poster for this movie! To recapture the taste and flavor of H.G. Well's story put in those glorious fifties frames and make people hear the sizzling sound of the saucers’ deadly death rays.

That's the magic we wanted to have in this poster. We wanted to put viewers back in the theatre seats where they first saw the movie, in the frame with the hero as he watches the invaders coming into the city! We wanted this poster to feel the retro-style menace of the red planet."
On sale Wednesday at a random time over at Mondotees.com
