The Weird & Nychos Pyramid of Fat Mural in Eastern Market Detroit Michigan

The past several weeks The Weird; Nychos, DXTR, Cone, LOOK, HRVB, Vidam were in Detroit, Michigan brought in by Inner State Gallery for some shows at the gallery and to create some incredible murals. Here is the final mural they created and after these past weeks they have really left their mark on a city that needs a something good in it. They have brightened up the area in Eastern Market of Detroit with four incredible murals along with some smaller pieces around town as well. At the same time Nychos was being filmed for a documentary film about his work across the globe that is expected to be completed next year.

The shows at Inner State Gallery were a great exhibition of their talents in a smaller scale that people could purchase in the form of prints and original work, check them out HERE. Local people were in awe of the massive scale and skill The Weird possessed with just spray paint to create the art and everyone is looking forward to them coming back to add to the landscape again.

Nychos & The Weird Villains Mural Detroit Michigan

The Weird and Nychos recently completed another incredible mural in Detroit's Eastern Market. The Inside the Rock Poster Street Team was there to capture this stunning piece of work. This one is titled The Weird Villains and was painted by DXTR, Nychos, Cone, HRVB, Vidam and Look. Asked why the car has square brick wheels DXTR said " Because it's stupider". That is not to be taken the wrong way, they just like a good laugh and to have fun with the work they create. Inner State Gallery has had them in Detroit the past few weeks doing murals and have a showing of their work at the gallery.

1xRUN even has a huge selection of original work by each member of the crew for sale right now as well, check it out at 1xRUN.com

Now if you are in the area Vidam did a couple of separate pieces of his own as well but you gotta look for them.

HRVB Baseball Bat Print Release Details

Part of Nychos crew The Weird is in Detroit this week preparing for a show this weekend. During that time 1xRUN will be releasing prints by some of the artists as well. Today the print is from HRVB or like his friend Alfonso call him "Herr", is a freelance illustrator and graffiti-lovin-artist. He lives and works in his hometown Berlin/Germany.

"I didn't decide consciously on becoming an artist. Like nearly every kid in Berlin, I came in contact with graffiti in the mid 90's. Over the years my style has shaped and I've created my very own world of expression." - HRVB

"I had been on a short trip to Bulgaria with my mate DXTR. A whole week full of painting and hanging around with a bunch of crazy bastards. When I was back in Berlin my head was brimming with ideas. For two days I sketched all these ideas out and one of them was this baseball bat and the guy in the car. Then I was looking for someone who really kicks ass. The first thought was Batman because of his funky car. I have created a few different pieces with cars at the center during the last few years like the famous "fressenpolierer" and I really love to have a batmobile of that shape.

This piece is another plushy cucumber. I create this one around Easter 2013 using my brain, my right hand, my wacom and two bottles of club-mate. It's a mixture of two paintings I did earlier this year, so I combined the best parts of both for this Batman print. " - HRVB

Baseball Bat is a 18 x 24 Inches 2-Color Screen Print On 130lbs Cougar Fine Art Paper with a signed and numbered edition of 40
