2 Years ago Christian Fischer began his film with Nychos. I had the privilege of spending a day with them as filming took place, I might be in it. It was amazing watching him work and the speed and precision he rocks the rattle can is just nuts. Long time readers of the blog remember the pictures from all the murals he did with the Weird. The above pictures I have been sitting on for 2 years and happy to show them to you at last.
RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT and world-renowned graffiti artist Nychos will bring the highly anticipated documentary “The Deepest Depths of the Burrow” to San Francisco’s Castro Theatre on July 1st, 2015. Following a successful world premiere in Vienna, Austria, Nychos and director Christian Fischer begin a tour of the United States. The film, presented by 1xRUN, will show in Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco this summer.
“The Deepest Depths of the Burrow” gives the viewer a first-hand look inside the lifestyle of a contemporary street artist, following Nychos through the experiences that come with traveling the world painting walls, exhibiting in galleries and gaining international acclaim as an artist. Featuring interviews from Shepard Fairey, Smithe, Ron English and a host of other established and up-and-coming urban artists, the documentary is an authentic perspective on the street art phenomenon.

About 10 days ago, Pose was in Tahiti working with Dabs Myla on killer wall for ONO'U Tahiti for their first international graffiti event. From there he came to Detroit to work on a smaller scale mural for Library Street Collective and their Public Matter art opening of The Belt. "Public Matter”, the fully accessible outdoor exhibition platform located
between the Z parking garage and within the Belt, a newly redeveloped
alley connecting Grand River and Gratiot Avenue between Broadway and
Library Street in downtown Detroit. The Belt, named for its orientation
in a former downtown garment district, also features permanent murals by
more than a dozen local, national and international artists.
Trigz, a famed body piercing artist and tattoo artist whose distinctively tattooed face was seen in magazines and music videos, was fatally shot in North Hollywood last Thursday night.
The actor, model and member of the renowned Seventh Letter graffiti artist crew reportedly got into an altercation at or near a tattoo parlor when gunfire erupted.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department the attack happened about 5:50 p.m. at Victory and Laurel Canyon boulevards at the Black Derby Smoke Shop when a stranger made a passing remark that upset Pebley. The two men came to blows, and after about 30 seconds the fight spilled out onto the sidewalk and ended with the 'rude' smoke shop customer shooting the tattoo artist outside.
The shooter was described only as a man in his 30s who possibly got away in a white, early '90s Honda Accord, according to the LAPD.
Pebley had worked on his screen career appearing in movies including SWAT and music videos for a variety of artists including Mobb Deep, Travis Barker, Blink 182, Yelawolf, Aerosmith, Taylor Swift. He had also appeared in documentaries aired on the National Geographic channel.
The producers of this new TV show contacted me to help spread the word about this show they are working on to find the best artist. They are looking for 10 artists to compete against each other in creating murals in the LA area and the winner will get $100,000. The mural space is legit and already been approved. They have teamed up with artist Justin Bua to make it happen. They plan to start shooting the show in June and July this year with an air date of August or September, they are keeping the network it will be on a secret though.
The Weird and Nychos recently completed another incredible mural in Detroit's Eastern Market. The Inside the Rock Poster Street Team was there to capture this stunning piece of work. This one is titled The Weird Villains and was painted by DXTR, Nychos, Cone, HRVB, Vidam and Look. Asked why the car has square brick wheels DXTR said " Because it's stupider". That is not to be taken the wrong way, they just like a good laugh and to have fun with the work they create. Inner State Gallery has had them in Detroit the past few weeks doing murals and have a showing of their work at the gallery.

Recently Inner State Gallery had two of the best mural/graffiti/spray paint artists in Detroit to work on some projects and the Inside the Rock Poster Street Team was the there to capture it. Persue and Trav collaborated on a huge wall in Detroit, Michigan with each of them bringing their distinct styles and signature art to life with the rattle can. Persue introduced Detroit to his Bunny Kitty and Trav showed the local writers how it's done.
