World Premier Exclusive Ghoulish Gary Pullin Teen Wolf Poster for Skuzzles

No comments:

Teen Wolf (1985 MGM) by Ghoulish Gary Pullin

Skuzzles is happy to finally announce their first MGM print release--Teen Wolf (1985 - feat. Michael J Fox) by Ghoulish Gary. This is the first ever officially licensed Teen Wolf screen print to hit the movie print world and they're ecstatic over the work Ghoulish Gary has put into this project.

Last year while they were visiting Toronto's After Dark Film Festival to checkout Astron-6 and TROMA's Father's Day, they ran into Gary for the first time. Skuzzles introduced themselves, shared a beer and talked a little bit of potential business.  They asked Gary if he was interested in working on a commissioned piece for Skuzzles in the future and he was down. Gary mentioned that he wanted the timing and movie to be right, so they booked him far in advance and offered up MGM's cult classic film, Teen Wolf. Being an avid illustrator of werewolves and other monsters (not too many people you can say this about), Gary signed up to work on the print. They're extremely happy how Gary was able to capture this cult classic on paper and they think you will be too.

Below are the specs and release information for their first MGM print, Teen Wolf.

Rob Schwager's Never Say Die Goonies Poster

No comments:

Details from Rob Schwager about his latest poster:

I'm excited to tell you guys about my latest print! Although I've been posting sneak peeks of it for the past few weeks on Instagram, you lucky subscribers get the full scoop on it FIRST! I hope you enjoy it!

I created and donated this print to be used as a fund raiser to benefit the renovation of the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, FL. Built in 1921, the Capitol is one of Florida's oldest operating theaters.

There were 100 pieces printed. Out of those 100, I was given 25 "artist copies" for me to sell to recoup my printing and production costs. The Capitol Theatre will receive 75 prints in all.

The first 25 people to arrive this Sunday at the screening of the 1985 classic, The Goonies, will receive a free copy of my Never Say Die! print. The remaining 50 are to be sold by the Capitol Theatre to raise funds to help with the renovation.

My 25 artist copies will be put up for sale on Sunday, Sept. 30th at 7PM EST., at the tinybirdpress webstore.

Notes:

- Hand-pulled screen print
- 18″ x 24″ on 100lb tea-stained paper
- Printed with water based non-toxic inks
- Signed and numbered, limited edition of 100
- Each print was hand-embellished. Because they are stained by hand, each one is totally unique
If you're in the Tampa Bay area, swing by the theatre this Sunday. Here's their website: atthecap.com
The movie starts at 3pm. Rob will be there and would love to meet you!

Mark Sarmel Moshi, Moshi Print On Sale Today

No comments:

"The original painting was created in 2012 for the inaugural Red Bull House of Art show in Detroit and it is for sale here at 1xRUN. The original painting is 18x24" acrylic on canvas. This was the first piece I created in a body of work that revolves around the connections between Japanese and American culture. In this body of work I'm attempting to explore my love of both cultures and highlight the way each influences the other. For this piece in particular I wanted to show my affinity for the phrase "Moshi Moshi". The phrase "Moshi Moshi" is typically used by the Japanese when answering the phone. Though there are many stories as to what it means exactly (including being a way to deduce if you are speaking with a ghost or because a mischievous fox cannot say moshi), but over time it has simply become a greeting for when one answers the phone.." - Mark Sarmel

Mark Sarmel is the alter ego of Mark Moreno, designer by day, illustrator by night and sometimes vice versa. "In general I just try to make as much cool stuff as possible." A graduate of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI., Mark has since been a part of numerous group shows in NY, LA, Detroit and even as far away as Australia. As an Illustrator his work has appeared in Faesthetic, Empty, Design is Kinky, DPI Taiwan, We are Words and Pictures, and Beautiful Decay. As a designer he has worked many years in advertising for clients such as Ford and Chevy and most recently designed the logo for The Rust Belt Market in Ferndale, MI.
