Two Rabbits Studio recently were blessed with a golden opportunity to make a poster for the one and only, Cat Power. Bob busted out the illustration and Mike did the coloring and the typography. The guitar is symbolic of Cats music and acoustic feel. The boxing glove pendant seen on her album cover for “The Greatest” are hanging from the neck of the guitar. The trinity of kittens represents Cat’s first name and also the innocent beauty that is present in almost all her music. The pseudo mother mary is symbolic of her last name, Power. The power of faith is similar to the power of song. All three elements together represent the power of music, the tool in which its executed and the artist who uses the power and the tool to move people. Regardless, they had to throw some cats into the mix because if anyone knows them, they know they are kitty freaks!
The final poster is a 5 color screen print. Measuring 18×24 on cream coverstock. Only 35 are available so act fast and buy one now HERE!
