Moniker's new screen print "Surreal" is available now at www.slackcandy.com for a mere $20. It is a signed and numbered limited edition of only 50 prints. Recently his wife lost a friend to cystic fibrosis, so he decided to donate twenty-five (25%) of the proceeds to the cystic fibrosis foundation (see http://www.cff.org/ for more information on what they are all about). Growing up Moniker was a big admirer of Dali's work. This print pays homage to Dali in subject matter and title, while adding a splash of pop culture and a dash of street art to the mix. The figure in the window is unmistakable. But why do I know her? What has she done? Is she a celebrity? What is a celebrity in today's "reality" tv 24-hour news instant gratification MTV culture? It's almost, well . . . surreal.
