Artist Statement:
Chris Austin's current series is inspired by his North American travels and more specifically the Pacific Northwest. The underlying theme that is present throughout each piece is the current climate crisis and the irreversible impact it has on wildlife.
"Having No Wings Is Just A Little Detail" depicts the Orca whale escaping and thriving in an otherworldly utopia, an environment that has been untainted and preserved in perfection.
