"Margot The Maggot Girl came together in 2007 from sketching up of a few different characters. I was thinking about the baby mutants in jars that old carnies used to display, a lot of the old fetuses that didn't make it. They would have all these weird little mutations sometimes two heads, or no body, some with some seal-like flippers, all these different things. I was talking with one of the troops that we work with, and they would come up with these different names of combination of part animal parts humans, so I was thinking in that world. I thought how all these different babies would live and Margot became one of them. She doesn't quite age. she still has the body of this little girl, but in maggot form. She can't quite grow past that age, so she has this bit of melancholy about her. She used to hang in the arcade down at the original Theatre Bizarre grounds and this last year at the Masonic Temple she's been hanging around the Theatre Bizarre stage. " - John Dunivant
