Galerie F hosted a solo mini-exhibition for Chicago local Adam Hanson this past weekend. They will be releasing all of the work from the show online on Monday, Nov 19th at 2PM CST.
"No We Can't, It Looks Underwater" is the debut solo show from Adam Hanson. This collection of still lifes is made up of Victorian era antiques presented in a pop art context. Adam illustrates these images utilizing his signature style; a limited palette of bold colors, intricate halftone patterns, and a refined cartoon aesthetic.
Adam Hanson is a designer, illustrator, and printmaker based out of Chicago, IL. An avid music lover, he has created screen printed gig posters and merchandise for a number of bands, including The Hold Steady, The Get Up Kids, & The Crystal Method. Clients also include Design Bureau Magazine, Columbia College, and Socialogic. When he’s not working, he’s probably watching campy horror movies or enjoying a glass of Sailor Jerry.
