Following the success of their recent Weapon of Choice exhibition in Los Angeles, Hero Complex Gallery is proud to present, “Oscar Legends” and “Weapon of Choice Phase 2”…two great shows together under one roof!
February is Oscars month, a time that reminds us all why we love film so much, so to celebrate our most cherished films Hero Complex Gallery is rolling out the red carpet to feature art inspired by some of film history’s most groundbreaking Oscar-winning films. Art will include artist renditions of Casablanca, Chinatown, Aliens, Pulp Fiction, Gladiator, Star Wars, Terminator 2, Raiders of the Lost Ark, An American Werewolf in London, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and many more.
On the opposite side of the gallery will be presented “Weapon of Choice Phase 2!” The Weapon of Choice show in January proved to be such a huge hit that Hero Complex Gallery wanted to exhibit the show to a whole new audience and will be presenting all new art from artists who wanted to take a stab at this sweeping eclectic theme.
New art for both shows will be tackled by acclaimed artists AJ Masthay, Augie Pagan, Ben Thomas, Blunt Graffix, Chris B. Murray, David Welker, Denis Medri, Godmachine, JP Valderrama, James Rheem Davis, Jesse Philips, Marie Bergeron, New Flesh, Nick Comparone, Nicole Gustafsson, Patrick Awa, Paul Shipper, Stainboy, Stanley Chow, Gumball Designs and Tim Oliveira, just to name a few. Oh, and Craig Drake just might have a new piece in the show too that you won’t want to miss!
Please join us on Friday, February 15th from 6pm-10pm for the opening reception of both shows.
Artists in attendance will include Blunt Graffix, Craig Drake, James Rheem Davis, Jason Brown and Tim Jordan.
