Chuck Sperry Peace Bird Golf Disc Discraft

Last year Emek did the art for the full color fundraiser disc for the BSF. That was the first time a concert poster artist put art on a golf disc. Tyler Stout also did the art for a disc last summer, that one was line art. Stout's disc was the more common style of printing called a hot stamp.

Chuck Sperry now will lend his creative talents to help The Beaver State Fling National Tour Disc Golf Tournament (http://beaverstatefling.com/) with a collectible fundraiser disc going on sale Monday. The disc is named the "Peace Bird" and the artwork was done by Chuck Sperry. It is a full color golf disc made by Discraft. They call their full color discs, SuperColor discs. There are many types of discs, drivers, midrange discs, and putters. This one is a midrange disc called a Buzzz.

There are 301 players signed up for the tournament and coming in from all over the country, 159 Pros(http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/99313) and 142 Amateurs(http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/100590). There are 10 different divisions in the tournament based on skill level, age, and gender. The pros play 3 days and the Ams 2 days. Disc golf is still in need of bigger sponsors for the tournaments. This Sperry disc will help a lot to boost the payouts for the players. All of the proceeds of these disc sales will go to the player payouts.

Sperry's Peace Bird disc is hand signed and numbered on the back. An edition of 300.
There will be no AP's or variants of this disc, there is only one edition.
The sale will take place at Portland, Oregon's Stumptown Disc Golf Club's webstore Monday June 10, at 6pm PST(http://www.4discgolf.com/).
