Widespread Panic rolled through VA last night and setup shop at one of the most gorgeous outdoor venues, Wolftrap in Vienna. To celebrate all the Virginia-ness in the air I tried to incorporate the classic Cardinal & Dogwood branch imagery that is everywhere (license plates, city plaques, etc…) but with a twist. A badass nature sorceress twist. The idea was to push the colors and outdoorsy feel of the image. The printing came out great and I think its a solid print.
Matt will be selling the posters today, June 7th at Noon EDT in the POSTER Section. It is 5-color print, 18′x 24′. The total run available at the shows was 350, and Matt will only have a limited AP (Artist Print) run available of 50.
He is also doing something really cool for folks with kids. There will be a black and white edition for kids to color. There will only be 15 and you have to email him after you purchase the color edition But you have to send him a picture of the poster after the kids color it or you will not be allowed to purchase another black and white edition of any poster in the future.He is starting something on his site called The Coloring Nook.
