Justin Santora has returned from Flatstock 43 in sunny Austin Texas, and he some new prints. All are available right now on his website.
Weltschmerz: A New Adventure Every Day, 18x24" screen print, signed/numbered edition of just 50, $40
This print is meant to touch on teenage memories of summer and all of the complicated emotions associated with adolescence. Some of the strangest, funniest, most trans-formative, most tragic, and outright euphoric moments of life happen to us at this age. And at no time did they seem most free to happen than during the summer
Do You Read Me? Is it Too Late? 18x24" screen print, signed/numbered edition of 75, $40. This print was released a while ago, but Justin wanted to reissue the online image of it. The image that made it online never were very accurate in terms of how this print looks in person. Sorry for any previous confusion and unfettered yellow balance.
Next up is Justin's Flatstock 43 poster. It's kind of a tradition for participating Flatstock artists to make his or her own Flatstock poster. This one features several trout because trout are stunning creatures, and Justin likes drawing them. 10x23" screen print, signed/numbered edition of 50, only $15.
I'm really liking what Justin has been cranking out lately. That Flatstock Trout print is just the right balance of serene and artistic...Justin likes drawing them, I like catching them AND I like Justin's work = win/win.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame they didn't have tubes or rubber bands for his prints at the NYC Gordon show...I still grabbed one, but it got banged up pretty good. (On the bright side, I don't feel bad about framing it on the cheap!)
