Arno Kiss 311 Queens of the Stone Age & More Posters Release

No comments:

Arno Kiss planning to do a big poster drop on Friday (9/7) at 2pm EDT, lots of great work.

311 Dayton poster
12x24 - 3 colors, $35 for the regular version (edition of 30), $65 for the foil variant (edition of 20)
I knew they discovered the Wow! Signal in Ohio so I wanted to find a way to show that on a poster. After doing some reading on the Native American tribes that settled in Ohio I thought it would be cool concept to decorate a Chippewa tipi with some more extraterrestrial decorations. AK
Umphrey’s McGee Miami posters
18x24 - 3 colors, $35 (edition of 25)
Most of my Umphrey’s posters so far have had some kind of Ethereal vibe going one. I like to envision things coming back to life because Umphrey’s McGee is rolling into town. So this is a continuation on that theme, but with a Miami Beach vibe. AK
Queens of the Stone Age Budapest posters
18x24 - 3 colors, $35 for the regular (edition of 75), $65 for the foil variant (edition of 20)
I’m half Hungarian, so I was pretty stoked when I found out it was for the Budapest date.I started brainstorming of my favourite experiences in Hungary and I always went back to the memory of a guy herding his cows down the street in a broken down Trabant. So I ended up drawing the Trabant I’d want to drive around the herd my cattle. AK
Set the alarm on your phone for Friday and buy them in his store at  https://www.arno-kiss.com/

Charles Peterson Pearl Jam The Home Shows Safeco Field Seattle Print

No comments:

The final print in 1xRUN's Charles Peterson Pearl Jam Drop in the Park series features an amazing image from The Home Shows concert at Safeco Field in Seattle. Not often you can get a piece of art like this from a concert you attended.
"The Pearl Jam Home shows were, literally, epic. Beyond the sold out capacity of 47,000, the perfect summer evening, the city skyline as a backdrop, and the three hour plus sets with guests galore, was the fact they inspired local businesses, small and large, to raise 12 million dollars to aid the homeless. The show felt bigger than mere rock and roll, a way for community to come together and celebrate music while giving back. A drop in the bucket for sure against this crippling issue, but hopefully this drop inspires a leak and so on. It also helped raise some awareness among the local community as to how to help and how big the problem really is. Inspiring, and I thought an epic show(s) deserved an epic pic that took it all in.

If you look closely, you can even see the whole band, and Eddie doing one of his signature mic stand moves. Extra epic!" - Charles Peterson
This print is a 17 x 12 Inches Archival Pigment Print. Timed Limited Edition that is signed & numbered will be closed on September 12th at 3pm.

James Flames 311 & Umphrey's McGee Posters Release

No comments:

First up is James Flames newest poster for 311, from their recent show in St. Paul, MN. The illustration is titled "Teenage Bedroom", and it's his homage to the early 90’s -- such a magical time, there was something so unique in the air, so many great memories. Mixtapes, young love, and vibessss!

The second new poster is James latest for Umphrey's McGee from the concert in St Augustine, FL. This illustration is titled "The Magic Crayon".

James on the UM design:
One of my favorite books when I was growing up was “Harold and the Purple Crayon” – remember that?! So good. Anyway, the basic story here is that there’s this magic tree, right at the edge of the ocean – all sorts of special things grow on this tree, like keys and magic crayons.

An explorer has been searching far and wide for this tree, and as he’s traveling with his three dogs, they come upon the tree. He grabs a crayon from the branches and begins to draw in the sky – and what he draws starts swirling and twirling and lighting up the sky, and then it opens up a window that looks out to the wonders of the universe!

All of these posters sold out at both concerts, and so these are the final prints available, including special HoloFoil Variants. They will all be available Wednesday, September 5th at 1pm Eastern at https://www.jamesflames.com/

Charles Peterson Eddie Vedder Pearl Jam Monkeywrench Radio Seattle Art Print

No comments:

The next print is 1xRUN's Charles Peterson Pearl Jam Drop in the Park series features Eddie Vedder playing DJ on the Monkeywrench Radio broadcast from Seattle.

"Spin, spin, spin the black circle! Eddie doing just that during one of Pearl Jam’s legendary Monkeywrench radio shows they put on in the mid and late nineties from their Seattle practice space. This photo has never been published or exhibited before and only recently discovered in the archives. My favorite part of the shot? Eddie’s ubiquitous (at the time) Casio calculator watch front and center. I think he’d like that the most too." - Charles Peterson

Artist statement:

My art allows me to explore my understanding of non duality, how we are in-separate from anything and everything. We are nature.I am you and you are me.

Yet we are disillusioned by a sense of self and because of this we cause harm to the environment and therefore to ourselves. Our natural world is dying around us and the solution lies in an awakening to this universal force of interconnection. My grandparents traveled the world diving and my grandmother would come home with stories of beauty and mystery from the depth of the oceans so when I was old enough I started diving myself and because of the travels that my art blesses me with I have been lucky to also now dive around the world.

The most awe inspiring and magical moment was when I got to swim alongside a Whale shark off the raw coast of Madagascar. Watching it dive into the deep blue abyss and reemerge through the suns lights rays is an image that is imprinted in my mind and heart.

Gov't Mule Avett Brothers Noblesville Poster By Charles Crisler

No comments:

Charles Crisler has released his Gov't Mule & Avett Brothers poster from the recent concert in Noblesville.

Here is what Charles said about the design:
Space, Trains, Gov’t Mule, The Avett Brothers… yeah, we were really getting into this one! Noblesville was the last town I called home before settling in Indianapolis, so there’s lots of good feels happening on that level as well. And speaking of Noblesville, the town lost their rail service just this year – that was the starting point for this poster’s theme. The train illustrated is actually based on the train that used to run the tracks of Noblesville and the surrounding area. The idea was to reimagine the train retrofitted with old Apollo-era rocket parts. There are also a plethora of references from my youth sprinkled in. Back To The Future, LEGO Space, The Polar Express, to name a few, were never far from my mind as a I worked through the design and feel of this piece. Hope you enjoy! -CC
