This is a poster Kevin Tong did back in May for A Warner Bros Records art show. Artists were asked to design a dream poster for any band formerly on the Warner Bros record label. IKevin had lots of fun designing a fictitious gig poster for the band’s last show together, which was at the Palace in Hollywood, CA on August 6, 1996.
This limited edition poster is a three color screen print on 18 x 24 inch 100 lb white cover paper. Kevin is selling signed and numbered prints (in an edition of 300, some were sold at the Warner Bros show) in his online store for $40 each at a random time on 7/26/12.
Making this poster for Phish’s show at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY was truly exciting for Kevin Tong. This is the second poster Kevin has done for Phish, the first of which also featured an aerial theme. For him, the music of Phish conjures up images of flight and being lighter than air, so he's been exploring that theme in current Phish posters and hopefully in future ones.
