1xRUN are excited to welcome back Detroit artist Ron Zakrin as he returns with his latest painting, which was finished just a few weeks ago: Dear Diary. Original starting out as a figure study of his significant other, this piece is a slight continuation of his recent exhibition "Still Life Drum Machine". With this piece Zakrin continues with some of the styles and themes of "Still Life" but this time has turned his focus to the contemplative female form ready to break free.
"This piece started as a figure study of my girlfriend, and then it turned into a war between pink and blue. From there the piece evolved into a good girl gone bad. She's writing in her diary that she was done "baking cupcakes." The original painting is acrylic on wood panel, and while I was painting I found this new white paint that I just love. It is a little bit thinner than the paint I had been using before and it allowed me to get the perfect texture and color on the shag rug. " - Ron Zakrin
Dear Diary is 17 x 15 Inches Archival Pigment Print on 330gsm Fine Art Paper with a signed and numbered edition of 50
They will also have the original painting for sale as well
