In the evening I sat in my hotel room and had the idea to draw a Pinocchio that tells us a brutal lie about our life. I don't really like to create drawings that refer to other pop cultural symbols, but I really loved the idea of Pinocchio telling us an obvious lie on our self-concept." - Vidam
