Rhys Cooper Jim Morrison Lizard King Print

The mythical Lizard King, Jim Morrison's alter ego, appeared first in the best-selling record Waiting for the Sun by The Doors (1968) as a poem that was printed inside the record jacked. It was entitled 'The Celebration of the Lizard King'. Part of the lyrics were used in 'Not to Touch the Earth' and the complete 'Celebration' appeared on the record Absolutely Live (1970).

Rhys Cooper continues his Bad 2 The Bonez series with a sick poster of the legendary poet Jim Morrison. The poster is a 4 color silkscreen poster with metallic and glow in the dark inks on heavy 250gsm charcoal paper stock Edition capped at 150.
Measures 18 x 24 inches. All posters numbered and signed.

This and many other older posters by Rhys are up for sale right now in the Studio Seppuku Store
