In partnership with the Peter Weir Collection, this Friday Black Dragon Press is releasing Kilian Eng's fantastic new poster for 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'.
Visually mesmerizing, moody and mysterious, it is perhaps no surprise that Kilian counts 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' as top of the list of his favorite movies and has resulted in Kilian creating a very personal illustration, very different in many respects to his retro-futuristic work, but still unmistakably Kilian Eng
"I still remember when I saw Picnic at Hanging Rock for the first time and how it left me with a feeling that very few films had before. There was of course the mysterious disappearance of the girls that fascinated me, and also the whole Victorian aesthetic set against the untamed and ruthless Australian wilderness, captured so masterfully in the film. All this accompanied by the haunting pan pipe music and beautiful piano melodies. I still find myself wondering from time to time what happened on that rock on Valentine's day 1900." - Kilian Eng
"A synopsis of the film in a single frame. Such fine work." - Peter Weir.
